Huge move for him, as he is famously a lifelong Plymouth Argyle fan

First Burton take Tavares from under our noses and now this, FFS Doug. Beaten to players by Plymouth SHFWF.

Good luck Jamie.

But can someone explain to me how he can sign for another club when the transfer window hasn't opened yet.

He will now join the Pilgrims following the conclusion of his Coventry contract on 30 June.

Wonderful goal, wonderful moment, but right for him to move on.

Apart from that goal, he did very little else

Apparently he's contract doesn't finish until 30th June.

Now if it said he'll sign when he's contract runs out then that's a different matter.

Sensible move and he leaves with his head held high having helped us into the playoffs, also moving to a decent club.

We need quality this window with 2 or 3 Grimes esq (ability wise) starters and a couple of loans using Frank's contacts book.

Best of luck Pato - What a moment vs Portsmouth and played a key part in our play off push! From a club perspective I think it's a good move, frees up some wages and gives potential for someone more tailored to FLs system.

He calls it a pastie

Edit: beaten to this joke on the other thread so replace with some comment about always putting jam on his scone before the cream.

Chuffed for him. He live his dream and bought us that goal.

For me was chronically underused in the final run in, including the play offs.

Good luck to Pato, Cov lad and a good lad, lived the dream and scored probably the best goal of his career against Pompy, going to a really good club in Plymouth. Hopefully he helps get them promoted
