I went to DnB Classics in London a couple of weeks ago. Steelyard.... underneath Cannon Street Station.
Absolutely brilliant event (i struggle to call anything in the daytime a "rave" but thats how it is these days)
Pure late 90's up to late 00's tunes.
They've got a big event in Barking in September with Breakin' Science (modern jump up), DnB Classics, and a jungle arena (with a really solid lineup)..... some warehouses down an awful looking industrial estate.... its where World Dance had their comeback last year.
I can't get on board with modern jump-up...... 98-02 is my sound.

97-05 is easily the best era of dnb though.2016 up till COVID was really good as well it's completely fell apart now though got too big and become massively diluted.
The DNB classics nights are really good one of the Cov lads (Sleepless) plays at it all the time very talented bloke as well.
I use to run jungle events and play a bit myself when I was at uni but retired a few years ago to get a real job. Worked with jungle cakes and V recordings on label nights which was a lot of fun.
One thing I will say though the V Recordings lads still party like it's the 90s

Roger Lomas is a grammy winning producer who has (had?) a music academy in Cov. Has worked with The Specials, Bad Manners, Selector, Ozzy and loads more.
Trevor Evans was (is?) a DJ who toured with the Specials a lot.
No idea on the other three but guessing newer artists.

I was a regular everywhere from 2000-2005...... Sanctuary, Bagleys, Que Club..... Helter Skelter, Slammin Vinyl, One Nation... United Dance was probably my favourite.
The Sanctuary shutting down in 04 started the change for me, and Bagleys went around the same time as well.... started moving towards clubs rather than big warehouses (although there were still some around).
Slowly became a bit more accessible to "normal people".
Just DnB Classics and the odd oldskool parties for me now..... although may touch down at Hospitality Croatia this summer for a few days.
I used to love Atomic Jam at the Que Club. My fav venue ever. Some great nights in there
I never went to Atomic Jam..... but Flashback, Quest, One Nation, Slammin Vinyl, were all good at the Que Club. Such a great venue.
I quite liked Code/Air in Digbeth (despite my earlier post bemoaning the move away from large warehouse venues)...... around 2002-2004 Helter Skelter put on regular club nights there for Hardcore/DnB with really solid lineups.... effectively meant a decent all-night rave on the doorstep every 3 or 4 weeks.

I believe its only panjabi mc who is performing- the other 'guests' will sit near Doug and have some of their songs played before the match over the tannoy!

Trevor Evans is a big city fan as-well as a drummer with Ruder than you , A few years back they supported Hollie Cook (Paul Cook ex Pistols ) daughter at the Colly his band where miles ahead of her .
