Wish him the best, absolute frustrating player with the sublime mixed in with utter shite, but was a good squad player for us.

because there was no going back from bust up

if they didn’t have a fallout we wouldnt have sold him especially without a replacement in mind

Stop believing what this clown says please. He ‘announced’ it after it had been mentioned by multiple journos. He leeches onto anything. A broken clock is right twice a day.

This is not a scoop!

We don't need to replace Palmer we have options in his position. Where we are weak is cm/DM.

Personally think on the face of it and in hindsight it’s a poor decision letting him go. Whatever you thought of him, he could sometimes give us the edge and spark us into life I.e Bristol City. All we’ve done is weaken ourselves and options whilst strengthening a rival.

disagree

we lost ohare and palmer 2 players who had flair and creativity in that position we haven’t replaced either

rudoni completely different player to both. he’s a box to box

I think Asante and Bassette can play there and possibly Torp. That is before you consider the three in midfield playing slightly differently by not having a traditional 10. Say a 6 and two 8's

if that was thought process why play him Tuesday night in that position?

surely would have tried Asante there if that was the thought process

I can't read the mind of Mark Robins, I am just pointing out there are options there. Perhaps Palmer wasn't leaving Tuesday night?

Saddlebrains intimated at the start of the window we were open to offers for him , don't think it was as last minute as some are suggesting.

Slightly upset he’s left, as he offered us a different option to what we already have.

That being said, if anyone from the squad had to go I’d probably have chosen him. If football matches were 45 minutes long he’d be a much better player.

Doesn't young Dausch play a similar role ?

Could open up opportunities for him to get some minutes, he looked useful in his cameos last season

Bit of a different era and set of resources... I really rate MR but if you can't come back from a set to with someone on your team it's disappointing. I have had a good number in my career sometimes I have been in the right sometimes they have but pretty much always found a way to move forward.

Perhaps that's why he had 45 on his back

MR said he didn't want Palmer to leave but looks like the decision was made by the powers that be which didn't want to match what Hull were offering
