It's the point people have been making for pages and pages but keeps getting misconstrued as 'don't sign free agents over a certain age'. I'll say it again, Dele Alli is a free agent who's younger than Bamford and has played way more top flight games. Yet no Championship club has gone in for him because he's a shadow of what he was. This is the point
Jeez!I’m just reporting the data, you’re the one with a weird chip on your shoulder. Go on name all the better and more trusted sources we’re waiting. Or were you just trying to be edgy and have ended up looking a twat?

And just because someone had a bad season marred by injury last season, doesnt mean they should be automatically written off for this season.People trust Lampard they’re just saying that having played x games in the top flight alone doesn’t mean he’s a good signing right now.
He had similar minutes at the start of the last season to what Simms as had this year and scored 0 goals. He's not been great at goalscoring for a while, he scored what was it 8 goals the season before? And just because someone had a bad season marred by injury last season, doesnt mean they should be automatically written off for this season.
Im.not saying he'll come and score 20 goals in half a season and win POTS! However, i genuinely believe if he'd had the same number of goal scoring opportunities this season as Simms, he'd have more than 2 goals on the board!

If true, problem solved
Seems a Sheffield United style signing, him and Ings can compare pensions togetherIf true, problem solved
No Lampard said Paterson was purely trainingGoing from memory, I think Frank hinted at some stage that Patterson might get a contract.
Currently we are at a stage where Frank has said he is training with us as a favour. They played together at Chelsea?
With us seeing him all week for a while, the staff will know his worth (or lack of it). If we want him, surely it will only be at a price we like and can afford.
On social media, it said another Championship club are after him, which may be the case or agent wishful thinking.
Bamford used to be brilliant at Leeds, then he wasn't. Unsure if injuries caught up with him, but I know the Leeds fans did not rate him in the Championship at the end of his tenure with them.
I know he said that at first, buy way before we signed him, I seem to remember there was a change of emphasis. No Lampard said Paterson was purely training
Depends on which source you believe/listen to. Ive just googled "Patrick Bamford news" and the top 2 stories that appear, one from 23 mins ago says he's in talks with Sheffield Utd and the second from 1 hour ago says he's in talks with WBA!In talks with Sheff Utd now
The Sheffield United story is being linked to Mike McGrath who is a respected journalist from the Telegraph (not the coventry version)Depends on which source you believe/listen to. All I can say, is after half the forum have called him past it/shite/old/not worth it etc, you can guarantee whoever he does sign for, he'll bag a goal past us.

So just small details. Like, all of them!To be fair, that's just fans saying they should sign him, nothing from WBA (the club itself) about signing him so I don't think there's interest.
SportsBoom are reporting that we're in talks on a contract with wages and contract length to be agreed, then it's a done deal.
Jeez!

Poor bastard.
YepIf we wanted him we'd have got him.
Conversely we got a try before you buy and also a chance to have some promotion pedigree around the place for a little while. Sheffield United are more likely to be playing Rotherham next season than they are competing for promotion, I don’t think we’ve lost anything by having a look at him and in fact have probably gained a fair bit.Officially announced.
Not arsed about him specifically, but can’t say I’m keen on the fact he’s been training with us and then turned around and signed for a club in the same league? We’re not a charity.
