I think this was the cause of our defensive problems 2nd half. Saka covers defensive duties so well. Another reason why he should have come on much earlier

Perhaps we relaxed while they upped their levels after the break.

Feels 2 points dropped but if you said 2 wins and 2 draws after 4, you’d take it.

Problem for us still remains, soft at the back

Both really soft decisions

He was poor first half v Derby but then popped up with 2 assists and a long throw so it was glossed over.
And he's the main target today because of all the players that had an off game, he was the only one who had a like for like, good enough, fit enough, replacement sat on the bench. BTA had Saka but he clearly wasn't fit enough. Of everyone else who had a poor 2nd half, there were no immediate swaps. KKH was and is the like for like replacement. The only position we could make a sub change atm and improve or at least stay the same, is RB. Yet that change wasnt made. Why?

Yes, but having a replacement on the bench doesn’t make the starter a target for being poor? So if you don’t have a decent replacement it doesn’t matter if you have a poor game?

But it’s early days and we need the management to sort it out before we lose to much ground, losing a bit of confidence in Rushworth he should be more vocal and command his area

Err - it did last season?

Meanwhile the certain C Doyle we all turned our nose up at kept a cleansheet on his debut.

Brannagan is a top player for them , definitely would see him here as a squad player

We turned our noses up at the deal they got him for not the actual player. You of course are happy to pay any amount for any player.

But MVE was poor today. Whether KKH was on the bench or not, MVE had a poor game. He wasn't the only one, but when KKH is on the bench, why not use him. Thats why he, specifically is my target. Wright for Simms isnt like for like, its a downgrade. Torp for an unfit Sheaf isnt like for like, it would make us more defensive when we need a goal. Kitching for Bidwell is a downgrade.
The only position that we could use a sub and improve today was at RB, yet we didnt. KKH may of come on and added nothing, but in terms of like for like on the bench, he's the only one. And if were not going to use that, then why waste the £4m in the forst place? That couldve been used better elsewhere and bring in a Brau type player to sit on the bench at RB.
As many arguments have been made over the last few weeks, its a squad game. Yet our best/most ready squad player is sitting on the bench watching.

Yeah the same defence got top 6 last season but we’re averaging 1.5 goals conceded per game with our first choice defence. The window is closing, we need an answer.

It's frustrating. You would hope to win that, but some of the reactions are bit excessive.

I've always felt we need to bring in a couple more players and let a few go, so nothing has changed there. I really hope we can do that.

The result today really isn't the end of the world though, so let's chill out a bit. We sit in 5th place after four games and even though there are some things we need to work on, there has been a lot of positives so far this season.

I would get 2 new CB.Both gave stupid fouls away for the feee kicks. They do 2 or 3 stupid mistakes every game.Dont know if its lack of concentration but im fed up of stupid fouls or sloppy passes. It’s the same back four as last season which wasn’t good enough. Our defence will cost us as scoring goals doesn’t seem to be a problem!

I'll be honest I didn't think bobby's was but I wasn't there, you can't legislate for referees decision making the real issue was the crowd were egging him on,and why was that?

He just said after witnessing Torps free kick it felt it was only right to sacrifice him to the Gods of football, and let him die on the pitch alongside his team mate, Matt Grimes.

Why is FL moaning about ref, thought he was one of the better ones.

Lampard needs to shoulder blame - crying out for tats / sheaf with 20 to go.

take point move on, frustrating yes, should have been out of sight at HT.
Again stupid goals conceded - thomas and kitching before it even gets to Rushworth. Also it’s a good save for the 1st, no one reacted. 2nd yea, that’s shit GK’ing.

rest up and go again. Patience.

Disappointing not to win but that's as far as it goes for me. A point away is always a decent thing! A lack of subs again from lampard really annoys me when we could see it need a few to swing momentum back in our favour!

I'm even more baffled now I've had time to think about it. We got battered in the 2nd half and only bought Sakamoto on with 10 minutes to go. I just don't get it
