Oxford tickets (1 Viewer)

See this is bollocks. As other people have said plenty have bought tickets way after this time. This on twitter at 11 for 1 .

If you are in that top points bracket, you should know how our tickets work by now. Not all tickets are released at once. They are regularly unavailable throughout the sale until more are added. I assume this is done on a block-by-block thing, and its to do with steward and staff costs. If the tickets say unavailable keep trying until the club confirms they've sold out

I agree with you and I'm certainly not in the top bracket and wasn't attempting to get tickets myself.

As you say, they sometimes release by block (I know 100% they released all blocks yesterday, confirmed by ticket office, although todays comms from club they held onto 100 accidentally), tickets fall out of baskets, people have just under half an hour to complete transaction, so odd tickets can be got after the majority sold.

If you were wanting 4 Oxford tickets yesterday at 1015am, it was coming up as none available. My mate attempted to get 2 just before 1030am and couldn't get any. He got 1 at around 1040am.

I started the thread as an observation from noise this had on X

If the club sets the top bracket at 1600 then everyone above that should be able to get a ticket if they want one. Games should never sell out without reaching the 2nd bracket.
Why? It doesn't work like that for any other event. There's events where they will quite happily make you pay an additional fee for access to the first bracket of sale but it doesn't guarantee you a ticket.

There aren't any other events where it would be comparable to how the points system is set up for football.

I'm in the Oxford end again this season. Home tickets are on general sale. If thinking to do likewise when purchasing a ticket remember to get someone with no connection to the CCFC member database to get it as I think a few got their tickets cancelled last season based on name and/or address.
I've no issue going in the home end if it's not going to sell out, either I go or it's an empty seat so more money for them. Obvs I will try and keep it incognito out of respect to their fans.

Unfortunately this season I'm in the same stand as a few Oxford supporting mates anyway so I might get ratted out regardless.....I have lorded it over them recerntly (P5 W5 D0 L0- one was Panzo at the double pre season- STILL COUNTS) I'm not even sure they would wait until we're out of the ground to give some back 😅

And no need for proof of any previous purchase history?
Not sure, I dont think so. They might try and get you to be a member so you might need a postcode that doesnt have CV in it?!

Give their tickets office a call tomorrow with some excuse that means you won't be able to decide until last minute

Before I managed to get one in the away end yesterday, I had brought one in the home end incase I couldn’t get one. So I have a home end ticket in my apple wallet that I can transfer over to someone if they want it? Paid £32 but happy for someone to have it for £20
