Outfield keeper (1 Viewer)

After Murphy went off at half time against Derby, I was wondering which outfield player would we have put in goal if something had happened to Dunn who looked like he is permanently in the wars. With Danny Ireland sometimes reserve this might happen at some point.
Do we have a reserve outfield keeper? If not, who could do it if required?
I'd say Keogh or Cranie might both be ok.

Bigrimana could go in goal he'd be fine as God would help him through it.

I seem to remember Steven Hughes going in goal a few seasons ago and making a few saves anyone know what year that was? Dont think an outfield players been in goal since though??

Before it was Gunnar who was the back up plan because of his Handball experience. However now im not so sure. I dont think any team woul prepare for a game with a "reserve outfield keeper" if there is such a thing! I think the players just club together in the event of being needed and decide.

I do think Bigi would put himself forward. He did say in his recent CET article he can play anywhere if required, and did play a bit in goal in his youth.

Cody McDonald played in goal for Norwich when that happened apparently.

If they don't hav a plan, i.e, gunner, (or plattini wouldn't b a bad choice purly due to size) doesn't the captain step in?

When Ireland got injured as the sub keeper (but stayed on), Jutkiewicz seemed like he was first in line to go in goal.

Not sure oof year but we were still @highfield rd,we had Ian Bennet on loan he got sent off for allegedly handling outside the box,was against stoke ,think Adams was manager so pr obably final year ,Adams was amuppet in that department ,had a cavelliar attitude and seldom put a goallie on the bench.

It was the home game against Stoke 2004/2005. I remember it well. Very impressive display from him that day. I'm still not entirely sure Bennett did handle it outside the area, I was at the wrong end of the ground and never saw it replayed, but who cares anyway, we had the position covered, and from a most unlikely source too!

Best game Hughes had that season was when he went in goal! Although it was never a red.

Speedo did pretty well against Millwall back in the day, although I think we were already well behind when he went in goal. It's an interesting point, though..with 7 subs it was an absolute no-brainer to have a GK on the bench, but with just 5 a fair few managers will decide to risk it.
