Our choice of captain (17 Viewers)

I would say Grimes because he always plays with his head up and has the ability to dictate the tempo. He is experienced and calm.
On another point about captaincy, if the designated captain is subbed or is subbed then the arm band is passed on to the next in line. However, in some scenarios, such as last night, just leave it with who has it. I am referring to Eccles injury and Jamie Allen coming on very late and at a crucial time. What benefit is there in him taking it from Kitching. At that point Kitching is established in the game. It is a small detail but this can make a difference. I remember one game, where I think Liam Kelly came on late and was offered the armband but turned it down to get set quickly.

You shouldn't need the armband to be a leader on the pitch. The captains role can be as much the off-field stuff, but what we do need are a few more leaders out there. It's probably one of only a few attributes Wilson has over Dovin, but I want a keeper to be confident, vocal and use some of the dark arts used against us. Assuming we're brining one in, then it must be an experienced one not a young loanee.

Again assuming Sheaf, Wright/Simms move on, then I want a Carlton Morris type forward but not him, and an absolute wanker to play alongside Grimes in the middle. Captain, not fussed but if we give it to Kitching, the ref will give him less yellows for moaning which is a bonus.
