Other clubs signings and what they mean for our promotion push (5 Viewers)

Can we assess whether any other clubs' signings improve or damage our own promotion chances...

Oldham have signed a pair of superb striker in Iwelumo & Lee Barnard...if they star winning games they can trip us some of our competitors for the playoffs

Sheffield Utd losing Blackman might be the anti-talisman that we need to get 3 points tomorrow

Any further views?

New signings take time to gel. We already have our team set up without the need of additions.

Think we'll do well in the long run with no deadline day signings!

Also, most are usually desperate signings just to get bodies in!

Ahh not the gel word we heard a lot from thorn!

Not as much as we heard it from Dongle!

Thought he was a Fructis Hair care salesman trying to get us to buy his products with subliminal advertising on here the amount of times he mentioned it.

Bournemouth - Matt Ritchie in but Wes Thomas out. probably about even, but a loss for Swindon.

Not worried about any of the signings and happy with our squad. I think all League 1 clubs will do more in the loan window which opens on Saturday.

I think we will bring one or two in over loan window, MR has freed up wages with people going out on loan and ROD contract being cancelled.

How ever I agree, sheffield losing Blackman may help us for tomorrow.

However it did crack me up. That due to a general dislike of Thorn a widely accepted principle within the football community and experts was suddenly a load of bollox :)

It's more accepted that the players have to be good enough in the first place. Hardly any of his signings now get a look in and most will be gone by next season if we can get rid.

Our upturn in form was nothing to do with gel it was to do with getting rid of the useless tub of lard and replacing with someone decent.

I dont think there were any signings that massively concern me. Oldham did sign a couple of decent strikers but we really should have enough of a gap on them. My biggest concern is that we now only have two recognized strikers - but I think he will address that in the loan window.

barry robson is good but hes also 34

im happy with our squad,we have 10 shots on goal a game it seems lately, if robins gets us being more clinical we can go on a win streak again

tonight is huge..if we win it will give the players confidence that we can make playoffs,at the moment i feel it is still a "maybe" to alot of them
