Sky Blues loan man Leo Ostigard addresses his future

The Brighton loan star has a big summer ahead of him and says he'd love to play in front of Coventry City's fans
www.coventrytelegraph.net

Probably had to say it but this quote gives me the slightest glimmer of hope we might be able to keep him. ‘Of course they (Coventry) will be an option’.

I would love to watch him live. Feel like he’s an aggressive style of player who would thrive off having the fans behind him

Sadly I fear he will get better offers than us, but we can hope!

Shame he did't say this before the last game when all of our players were shit and wouldn't get anywhere near any other Championship team, would have been easy to sign him then

Would love to see him here next year but suspect he will be beyond our affordability. You never know though and if he's happy here and sure of first team football that counts for something, admittedly not much when money starts being thrown around.

There will be bigger, richer clubs than us I feel - doubt we'd pay the necessary transfer fee. Would be a great signing though.

I have every faith in MR and the recruitment team finding a suitable replacement. And hopefully a fully fit Michael Rose can have a bigger impact next season.

From everything I’ve heard him say and stories from other managers he does seem a bit different in that he simply wants to play every single week. Didn’t he go up to His manager at Molde and demand he went into the 1st team at 16 years old? Admittedly he could start at CB for most championship sides so I think it’s unlikely we get him anyway

Whatever happens he will need replacing. Been our best centre back this year and only going to get better.

I think a lot of us thought the same about O'Hare and that turned out well.

What like McNulty, strung the fans along then said fuck you I'm off.
Turned out well for him

Have to say I don't think he is anyway near that level, at least not now. Think his passing and lack of skill on the ball would be badly exposed in that league.

He was a standout at St Pauli. Think he may struggle in parts but would be a fairly cheap risk for someone like Köln.

You say that, but St Pauli finished 14th (of 18) in the German 2nd flight. Not trying to suggest he’s rubbish by any stretch but don’t see that he’s a million miles above our level and not convinced he’s Bundesliga standard...yet.

He’s never premiership level yet his passing isn’t good enough just yet

I agree. I like him and would like us to sign him if possible. However, I feel he is lower Championship level at the moment.
