Optimism.... (4 Viewers)

Pompey beat millwall tonight and they are pulled back into it. They then have Leicester at home, followed by us at the Ricoh, then Ipswich away. Tough games.
Even if we lose to burnley, beat millwall and Donny at home and that sequence of results will put us 1 point ahead going into the final game. Play off chasing blackpool for millwall.

Clutching at straws I know, but I needed something to cheer me up after yesterday

It's not an implausible set of results, but we are back to guessing at other fixtures again. And this time not just guessing, but praying for some serious slip-ups. The problem we have is that the other teams are all picking up points here and there. Contrast this to the Premiership where the bottom sides can't buy a win between them.

More important, Bristol City's next 2 games are Birmingham and West Ham - let's say the following happens:

Bristol C's games:
Brum - L
West Ham - L
Barnsley - W
Burnley - D
47 POINTS

Coventry
Burnley - D
Millwall - W
Donny - W
Saints - D
47 POINTS - COV stay up on GD (probably)

Edot - having written this in a mood of optimism, this does actually just bring home how truly screwed we are!!!!

Millwall always looked like they could get safe.

Been down to Bristol or us for a few days now.

We beat Burnley and Bristol lose at Brum and it's game back on. Not saying that is going to happen of course, but that would be the result to create renewed hope.
