Just saw this based on form and OPTA Modelling on the Derby game and it has us, Brum and Wycombe to go down.

Well the modelling is based on many things and on current form and the others who have games in hand on us, that’s how it pans out.

Of course it’s bull shit though and anything can happen.

That Opts modelling means sweet FA.

Lol at Bristol city getting 61 points.

Sheffield Wednesday getting 56 points? That woukd mean 28 points from 17 games whoch would be top 8 form. They getting their 6 deducted points back?

Thank God they don't use this system for deciding a curtailed season.

All I will say is, if our possession stats mean nothing (which they don’t really), which many posters are very keen to point out, then these stats also mean nothing

I'd love to see their working out.
Why do Huddersfield who are on a dreadful run suddenly start picking up points?
They lost at home to Wycombe.
How come Bristol City pick up another 22 points given their current form. It is, to use a technical term, absolute bollocks.

On recent form I can see why us and Brum ars favourites but it’s down circumstance, hopefully we will be up to full strength come March and have finished with all the serious challengers apart from Bournemouth and Robins pulls his finger out and gets his team right.

on recent form Huddersfield are worse than us, they don't have the hardest run in admittedly, but that means if they do pick up points they'll be taking them from teams around us.

The Wednesday thing is nonsense. As is a lot of that table.

It's not even stats, stats are factual data based on what has actually already happened, this is using a system to try & predict the future & in the most unpredictable league in the world too. They're never anywhere near accurate.

Obviously the modelling has factored in our injuries which have directly influenced recent results and also factored in players due back?

Thought not

Would not read much into these prediction tables there exactly that, one thing for sure though its going to be tight we will either stay up by a few points or go down by a few.

Draw comfort from the fact it doesn't work like that. A prime example is to try a few weeks betting on teams based on form and past results and see how much money you lose.

The relegation percentages on there are broadly in line with the bookies odds.

Can't see Rotherham keeping their form up. Every team have good runs. We were miles better than them when we played.

So much of the season to play. It's gonna get brutal on here for the rest of February, rotten run of near impossible fixtures. But we did enough it in the reverse run earlier in the season and really kicked on in the easier fixtures after.

No it was about 6 games ago actually. Before the Forest defeat at least.

18 points from 16 games is pretty realistic
for us isn’t it? Think 50 points will be the marker too

Agree points are decided on the pitch not modelling

Assuming we get nothing from Brentford and Swansea. Being realistic.

14 games remaining were gonna need:

5 wins
4 draws
5 defeats.

Will be a tough task.

That should be more than enough.

But again it may only be 4 wins required if we beat the teams around us.

Rotherham
Derby
Huddersfield

These are proper 6 pointers.

Confident we will stay up. I'm hoping this season it may be 48/49 points to stay up.

For it to be lower we need the teams like Preston, Bristol, Millwall and QPR to be beating the likes of Rotherham, Wednesday and Birmingham.

I seen this last night before the Watford vs Darby game. I dont think it means too much it is based just on current form but form can change.
