When cov won the FA cup they toured the city in the open top bus.

My question is, when do you think it is appropriate for the club to tour the city again? Just thought I'd ask because we haven't won anything since 87 and this year sees the chance of us possibly winning somethings and giving the fans something to cheer about in such a long time.

I don't think so. If we get through I see it more as a day out at Wembley. When we win the playoffs however I demand an open top bus

I thought it be more for if we got back to the premiership personally but that my point off view, just wondered when everyone else would like to see it

Getting a bit ahead of ourselves here. Lets get there first, Then worry about winning it, Then worry about open top Buses. Personally I would prefer the club to just showcase it after the Leyton Orient Home game, Might Encourage a higher gate for that game.

Not at all, FA Cup and winning leagues only, perhaps League cup. If we had a super surge and win the third division championship then maybe

Yep. Definitely an open top bus parade through the city with a civic reception. Has to be!!

Though, maybe toned down just a little bit ............... to make it an open top mini-bus parade round Jubilee Crescent and a picnic in Lady Herbert's Garden.

It would be embarrassing for the JPT, tbh i dont want the the tosspots at the council to enjoy any possible success this club may have . They rip us off for a decade without giving a shit then try to slide under the duvet with us during possible good times, no thanks !!

This is clearly a wind up thread.

I just wanted people's opinions, just a discussion, personally for me I think it be appropriate for if we ever get back to the premiership, whether it through play offs or through runners up or winning league. I agree we shouldn't have it for anything less

Trot around the pitch with the cup at the first home game after I'd guess.

I agree with a walk around Tesco's car park, but please no tv coverage
Is it bad that I'm actually thinking this a really good idea? Could flood the car park with people, have the players wandering around basking in mild admiration. A whip round to buy Robins Tesco's finest champagne.

Then again, I am quite young and still have fond memories of getting drunk in car parks...

If we won the play off yes. But we are way ahead of our selfs. Quite worrying the amount of people who think the JPT is a for gone conclusion, Crewe are a decent side.

This City has been ravaged in recent times. Just take a walk around the city centre and see all the empty shops. Have a look at how many are lingering about there on a week day. Then take a trip to the Job Centre, see how many are there. We have one of the highest council tax rates in the country and in areas of Coventry, we have some of the worst living conditions. Every single one of us has either been a victim of redundancy or have friends or family who have fallen foul of this torrid time. This city is bleeding. Its showpiece festival has been raped and then cancelled. Its football club has been on its knees for the best part of a decade.

Imagine what winning this trophy could do to general mood of the City. The feel good factor that an open top bus parade would give. A massive party celebrating the fact that even when you think you can't fall any further, you can still achieve.

This is a famous quote but I believe it should be the motto of our season and our city

"The world is round and the place which may seem like the end, might also be the beginning"

I remember driving through Norfolk a couple of years back after Norwich went up from the 1st div and they were having the very same debate on their local radio station, and I remember this prat of a presenter saying " well it is only promotion to the championship not the premiership where we belong"! I thought you pretentious idiot. I've hated Norwich ever since that day. Any success should be celebrated with anything that can be afforded whatever the competion.
