Surprisingly Godiva though my firm does do audits I actually have my own business to run as well
If they can find the extra funds to buy into the stadium income sources why have they never done this ..... in fact why have they never tried until now ....... it is not a new problem and it ain't rocket science. Doesnt say much for their skills or the people they partner or employ really
Yes, it's so out of character that the club suddenly starts to communicate, but why can't we see it as a positive reaction to the fans demands instead of playing the conspiracy card?
i will renew mine the day sisu fuck off.
Try going to the less glamourous games as well...that would help AT and the lads......:thinking about:
Whoosh!!!!
Think he was getting at a Torch-Thorny hybrid.
Think he was getting at a Torch-Thorny hybrid.
why follow me ??do you know if i have a season ticket? no, all i am saying is that fans that dont go to home games are no less important than fans that go to home games!!! but to many people what to throw accusations and names at people because they choose to buy a season ticket or not :facepalm:
I said to my wife the other day - look at Thorn - the fattest manager in League Football - she said he's about half my size. At least I've got hair.
1) Previous boards have failed miserably on everything business like. Now there's a new boss around and so new actions are taken.
Sorry, I have to disagree fans that don,t go to home are just that!, Fans that do go to home games are 'supporters' by way of fact that the admission paid either by ST or single game ticket generates the cash to keep our club going.Money aside I would guess that the players would think those in attendance at home are also more important than those listening at home on the radio. The awayday experience is great to be part of but financially only benefits the away club.
This year I don,t even feel fleeced for the £289 paid for my ST as I was,nt expecting to see anything in the way of decent new players despite the promise,s given pre season.Anyone with more than a single brain cell knew that SISU had f**ked up before the season had started and as investors they were going to call a halt on losing money at the rate they had been.
If you havent worked it out already there are another 1349 like me!
re the debt
Bobby Gould 1994 - we were £1.5m in debt and about to sell Phil Babb to liverpool for £3m to cover this
Bryan Richardson 2001 - When I left, the club had a 7.5m overdraft
Ray Ranson - 2009 - this club is debt free, and is a model for all football clubs
i wasnt expecting anything good this season when i brought my season ticket either also i go to away games does that make me double the fan you are ?? no !!! a fan is somebody that supports the team home or away and if its down to money it costs a damn site more to go to away games aswell !! a fan can be on the other side of the world but in your eyes because he doesnt go to home games he isnt a fan what about people that can not afford to go aswell or are to old ??? guess they are not fans either
They want a rent reduction, for free. They have zero entitlement to that, and it is in no way in ACL or the councils interest financially. Can you say why they should get a rent reduction? Because we got relegated and can no longer afford it? Yes, and whose fault was that, as Fisher himself has admitted? SISU! They are reaping what they sowed.
"Revenues we think the club should have"-yes, and you knew full well when you bought the club that it didn't have them, and how to get them-buy the stadium. That was SISU's stated intention. That they didn't is why we are still in this position-yet they cry like spoilt lickle babies that it's "unfair" and not their fault! It's nobody elses, is it? They blew it.
They are simply playing a PR game that nobody should swallow.
£300 to watch 3rd div football ! Bl**dy hell.!!!
I can fully understand the need and desire to play the blame game, to look backwards and point to errors and failures. But what progress will it bring? How will that stand the club in better shape?
There are no credible alternative to sisu, and they have run out of money and can't continue to find millions.
So I can see two alternatives - 1) the costs are cut to match the income, or 2) the club goes out of existence.
You may want option 2, and thats fair enough - it's a stance I can respect.
I want option 1) and the rent if not reduced will account for something like 20% or 25% of all costs (OSB might be able to calculate a more exact number). It must come down.
One thing nobody has raised on this forum is the fact that over the last 3 or 4 years the interest rates have come down a lot. This means that those who owns the stadium have had the chance of re-mortagaging and reduce the cost significantly. I would like to think that could be reflected in a new rent contract as a minimum, but as I said before - I would much rather the rent were based on actual attendance numbers and what league/cup match is played.
Fans are being used by both sides to justify their arguments. I'm sick of councillors and SISU henchmen proclaiming about 'what's best for the fans' as a basis for their actions-the former are saying it to garner votes and the latter are using it to garner season ticket sales. In actual fact, their actions suggest it's their own interests their putting forward and that is causing the stumbling block.
How long did Fisher say it would take to get his answer from SISU for the budget? Anyone else think he already knew the answer before he even asked? And the next thing that happens is this game of bad PR chess where there can only be one loser-the fans of CCFC. I'd say that pretty much confirms that the SISU answer was an overwhelming "no"!

I think you may have missed my point. Anyone can be a fan or as passionate about the club as me or you for that matter but for the survival of the club its needs to have paying customers thats what make us more important at this moment in time IMO. Obviously for the fans who cannot do this for credible reasons(logistical, financial) I think no less of, but those who use the excuse of the team not measuring up to their own expectations or because of the who manager/owners may be, are not the best supporters IMO.

Maybe you could replace the word "excuse" with reason.
I believe SISU are doiing this via blackmail. We cant give a budget until we get the rent reduced. So we the fans jump on the councils back. This is not correct. The budget can be given to AT based on current rent and increased if needs be. When have SISU cared about the fans we are just a handy tool at the moment to try and beat the council.
The council are saying they have to do what's right for the tax payer (not fans).
They are saying they will negotiate something regarding the rent if they see SISUs plans for the future and budgets.
Hopefully if they see that then we can see it aswell. We have been asking for their long term plan for the last 3 years and have never been told it
Do you honestly think this is unreasonable.
Imagine if the council slashed the rent or gave SISU some of the ground. Then SISU still liquadated the club in 6 months time. What would the tax payer say then
