That Sky commentator can't remember his name but he has to be one of the best, just pure passion.

Fans up for it from the start. Players matched that energy.
Boro are clearly an excellent footballing side but we beat them with a game plan, intensity and execution in the moment.
If we do go up this will be looked at as the pivotal moment. If that performance and result doesn’t restore belief and confidence then nothing will.
PUSB, can’t wait for the run in now.
I think it was Gary Weaver. That Sky commentator can't remember his name but he has to be one of the best, just pure passion.

Agree, both felt very different thoughQPR at home this season will be hard to beat. A 7-1 win and securing the stadium, looked amazing atmosphere

I like him, I think he's one of the best.I think it was Gary Weaver.
Done the double over current 2nd and 3rd as well, scoring 13 goals in those 4 games. That's the 3rd game, 1st v 2nd, we've been involved in this season and we've won them all!!!!!
Yep. Saying should win fixtures x,y and z is a fools game in this league, especially away (apart from Sheffield Wednesday.) Just need to be on it and pick up points wherever the chance presents itself. I think what's frustrating is you wouldn't have to change much for us to be pretty comfortable, you could genuinely keep pretty much all of our rubbish form and just say, hold on against 10 man Preston and win at home to Oxford and we'd be very very well positioned. It's done now but we need to be a bit smarter at times.12 points from Boro and Millwall, half that from Oxford and Charlton. The Championship in a nutshell
He's another Peter Drury for me, developed a "thing" and now overdoes it. He's OK during play but at goals and full time he just shouts nonsense with full stops. That Sky commentator can't remember his name but he has to be one of the best, just pure passion.
Agree massively. I cringe when I hear him do this - and he does it A LOT.He's another Peter Drury for me, developed a "thing" and now overdoes it. He's OK during play but at goals and full time he just shouts nonsense with full stops.
THIS TEAM. THIS CITY. THESE PEOPLE. SCREAMING FROM THE BARRICADES OF THIS FORTRESS. HAVE PLANTED THEIR FLAG IN THE GROUND. SAYING 'WE WILL NOT BE MOVED'. 'WE. WILL NOT GIVE UP'. WELL THEY HAVE LAID DOWN THE GAUNTLET etc etc etc
All about trying to go viral I think. He's another Peter Drury for me, developed a "thing" and now overdoes it. He's OK during play but at goals and full time he just shouts nonsense with full stops.

Drury is only 2nd to the abysmal Jonathan Pierce. Got this silly habit of shouting the players name when they have a shot. Twat.I thought that was Drury, tbh.
It's all bombastic nonsense as far as I am concerned.
He was the subject of great Squires cartoon, though.

Saw somewhere a video showing drone footage of the CBS before kick off, anyone got a like to it please? Can't find it anywhere

We were in relegation form for over a dozen games, it's not a trivial drop off in results.Yet people still lost their minds as if they had never seen a championship season before
But there were comments like If you can't beat Oxford you don't deserve to go up etcWe were in relegation form for over a dozen games, it's not a trivial drop off in results.
Our poorest run was 9 points in 8. That is still a 52 point season and includes the 2 Ipswich games. We have never been in relegation form for over a dozen gamesWe were in relegation form for over a dozen games, it's not a trivial drop off in results.

I think what made your drop in form appear worse than it actually was was the fact that it had such a high basis for comparison immediately before it.We had managed 15 points in 13 games which is a 53 point season. That's barely better than relegation form.
I think if it had dropped down to say 1.50 PPG, which is 69 points over a whole season, our gap to third would actually have increased by a point and we'd be 8 points clear of you in second. You're talking another 7 points in that run of 13 games, which we'd get from beating Oxford and holding on to win in some of the 5 away games we took the lead in.I think what made your drop in form appear worse than it actually was was the fact that it had such a high basis for comparison immediately before it.
If Swansea for example, who aren't a bad side, but not particularly good either, had had that run of results then no one would have batter an eyelid, considering it "business as usual".
Using your home form thus far this season as a guide (2.44PPG) if you were to maintain it then you'd be looking at approximately 17 points from your remaining 7 games at the CBS, which would take you to 79 points.I think if it had dropped down to say 1.50 PPG, which is 69 points over a whole season, our gap to third would actually have increased by a point and we'd be 8 points clear of you in second. That would still have represented a big drop off from the slightly ridiculous form leading up to that. It's all gone now anyway. I've said before that I give Boro huge credit for building up some incredible form to overtake us, but I also think you really shouldn't have had the chance even with that run.
As for the rest of the season, us going up automatically or not now rests on sorting out the away form. If we can't do that, we won't deserve it.
We haven’t won away from home in a long time and the home games aren’t all straightforward. I’m reasonably sure that Boro will hit or get close to 90. I’ve predicted us to reach 89 as it happens, but that involves winning 3 away games, one of which is today.Using your home form thus far this season as a guide (2.44PPG) if you were to maintain it then you'd be looking at approximately 17 points from your remaining 7 games at the CBS, which would take you to 79 points.
Obviously FL won't be banking on this with his approach to away games, but IF the home form is maintained in that fashion, then your away form as it is now for the season (1.44PPG) would see an approximate return of 10 points, which would have you at 89 points.
You're less likely to have a worse GD than 2 of the chasers at season end and it's also less likely this season that 2 of them then required for you to miss out on the autos will both reach 90 points.
Naturally it's all fine margins and a bit less squeaky bum time would sit better with you as fans, but football was never meant to be easy!![]()
