what were Bradford like back in the day?

an admirable club, or a club lucky to get to the prem?

A bit city football club that has never really done much. One major trophy to their name. All sounds a bit familiar. Historically we're much better supported, although impressed with their crowds this season have to say.

From what I remember, they spent all their dosh on Carbonari (?) a decent winger who cost an arm and a leg in wages and may have tipped them over the edge financially. Not for us to say where they belong, but they have a decent following and have to endure that infamous disaster - so got to wish them well (even if Parkinson may have acted like a knob today - though their fans are saying the same about Pressley, to be fair!)

Any team that gets a promotion normally deserves it.

They got there on merit as much as Palace did last year. You can only beat what's in front of you, you can fluke your way to the final of a cup but you cannot get promoted the same way.
They also staying up one season didn't they?? I remember them for being a 'pluky' side with some good flair players (carbone, windass etc) but it was always a matter of time before they fell through the trapdoor. I think they went down with us didn't they????

Perhaps the worst game of football I ever witnessed

yes but there supporters where a great laugh. a lot of them made the effort, fancy dress and doing the conga and generally having a good time, don't forget they were relegated aswell.

They have a great bunch of supporters. It is one of the rare clubs that has been through much more than us. I was going to the game yesterday until a minor disaster happened just after the start of the journey. I was going in with the home fans. The next time we play them anyone on here will be welcome to join me. The mate who I was going in with has had to witness things most of us never will. Like the time he bought a ticket for a mate of his that hadn't been for a bit of time. That was the day of the fire. His mate never made it out. Their perception of football seems to have changed. If any club deserves promotions it is them. Decent size club. Excellent fans. They don't even seem to care when I am in full voice.....and the only Cov fan in their stand :D

I remember Rodney Marsh having his head shaved on the Bradford pitch because he predicted they'd last no more than 1 season in the Prem…they managed 2.
