Good old Telegraph quality reporting.
What a day at Hillsborough all be it missing the first goal hearing the roar outside at realising Leeds had scored when we got in.

Fantastic!
My dad got us there 4 hours early...and I’m pretty sure kick-off was delayed for a bit too...it did mean we got the choice of the best place to stand.
I also remember the inevitability of our win. AfterRennie scored I remember thinking ‘we’re still going to win this’. Not a feeling I’ve had many times since!
Great day! The drive back to cov was great too!

I was convinced the ball was out and the goal would be disallowed. Glynn is a post man now I believe !!
Gynn was a postie, not sure if he is now?

I’ve seen him at quite a few games - home and away - over recent years. He seems to working in some capacity...scout? Journalist?
I think he compiles the Opta and press Association stats ? Also is associated with who gets credited with goals? .?

Personally I felt we played poorly that day and for me the final whistle was a relief. The walk back to the car and the drive back home was unbelievable. My dad was in tears; ‘we are going to Wembley son, we are going to Wembley’

That’s great. When we were driving back through cov I remember some bloke had come out of his house and was raising a glass to/toasting all the cars as they passed.
