I think it will be after Spain now, if it happens?

Well when their comments say they can't guarantee he will be there by the weekend it is leading us to think it's fairly conclusive

It's a lot, lot further down the road than that interview seems to make out

I think it won’t be a done deal till we’re back from Spain. What day are we back?

If it’s a done deal why would you not fly out and join the squad? Seems like a real missed opportunity.

It would be if we weren't playing so many friendlies after it.

Everything's agreed, we are just waiting on a release form from Hammarby, who are dragging their heels waiting to find a replacement.

People were confident Marko Stamenic was a done deal. So until the club announced it.......
really? most of the noise on that was from Red Star trying to hawk their player about. The press stories were Red Star plants.

This seems far, far, far more secure.

Based on press releases from abroad? Okay. The fact is he hasn't officially signed yet.

There sporting director did say that he's is actually injured in the interview. Perhaps we're just allowing him extra time to come over, rest up and get settled in the UK then he links up when the squad is back.

I wasn’t which is why I didn’t report anything on it. I am confident on this one. Not a club ITK or anything but I get reliable information sometimes and report on it if I truly think it’ll happen.

This isn't the same though? Oh he's not signed yet, guess we'll never sign anyone again.

I am not panicking the window has plenty of time to run. You must be confusing me with fans who thought all our business would be announced on July 1st 😂

I agree with certain scepticism, we can't just accept that it's a done deal until we see it in concrete.
And I'm not wetting the bed, just waiting for the fat lady to sing.

I just think this looks far more solid than the Stanmenic deal where there was basically nothing coming from from our side.

That plus the fact they are signing a new keeper looks good for us. Things can happen, his hands could even drop off but this is more solid.

Collins has kept a clean sheet in the first pre-season friendly. Things are looking up just from the mere story

Well yes. You refuse to beleive something til its fact. Did you not get excited about childhood toys til you knew it the batteries worked first?

The other day Expressen stated that Hammarby and Coventry are just details away from agreeing on Oliver Dovin, 22. The price tag is around SEK 20 million and the transfer is expected to be completed shortly.

Bajen's star keeper was out of the squad in Monday's loss against IFK Gothenburg (0-1). "A lighter feeling", was the official explanation from the green and white side.

But the fact is that Dovin was actually injured, says sporting director Mikael Hjelmberg.

- He hasn't trained this week. The plan was all along that he would play, but at training yesterday it was concluded that it would not work.

How are the talks with Coventry going?

- They are probably interested in Oliver, I think so.
How close are you to getting clarity about his future?
- It is difficult to answer. But sometime during the week we will probably know more about the matter.

Do you think he is sold before BP on Saturday?
- I cannot rule that out, says Hjelmberg.

At the beginning of July, Fotbollskanalen was able to tell that Hammarby wants to bring in Warner Hahn, 32, from Japanese Kyoto Sanga in the event of a possible sale of Dovin. The podcast Tuttosvensken recently stated that the former IFK Gothenburg keeper is almost ready for Bajen.

- If we lose a goalkeeper, we will have to replace with a goalkeeper.

- But now we are not there yet, with Oliver. If we lose him, there will be a replacement and then Warner Hahn is one of the options we are looking at, says Hjelmberg, adding that he wants a possible replacement in place "as quickly as possible".

They comment ‘if we lose a goalkeeper, we have to replace with a goalkeeper’…

We have two we are happy to get rid of, take your pick
