Grendel I thought you had given up watching them? Sorry I may be mistaken. What stopped you?

Our new ground will be based on Rotherham's New York stadium, worth taking a look! Now that's positive!

Shows how much you know, Rotherham fc do not own the freehold of the stadium, it is owned by the council. Some model that is to follow, back to the RICOH would be a better idea.

If everything go's to plan I'd expect, pretty soon. Maybe 6 to 8 weeks, you know how long all these legal things take. How frustrating buying or selling a house is, well a football stadium is even more complicated.

How long is a furlong as Fisher said "we are going into the final furlong of site negotiations". That was at the start of june.

Personally, I like the Ricoh...but mainly because it is, at least supposed to be, "ours".
As an alternative, I could take the MK in Sky blue - I think it's a smashing place. Easy entry & exit, loved the open concourse...& if all we had just the lower tier to start with...22k I'd be happy. Back to the Championship - consolidate a year or two...boost it to 32k. Then once Premiership consolidated boost it to 45k. That would be excellent for me...in Coventry of course!

Been to Rotherham and Donny's a few times and they are nice little grounds but eactly that - LITTLE! They have poor catchment areas dominated by older historic clubs like Leeds, Sheff Wed & Utd etc so they really struggle for support. It shows a complete lack of ambition and typifies where they see the level of our fan base if they built this stadium. On the flipside, people wanted to move back to HR which is about the same size so you cannot have it both ways.

If they were serious about building a new ground they would have put the Ricoh saga to bed completely rather than meeting with councellors etc.

For what its worth, i like the Ricoh. When we moved there, it was a major step in the evolution of our club. Sadly what we didnt know was we were being screwed completely behind it so it coincided with the darkest days of our beloved club.
