Well, check one of the other threads where OSB58 explains it much better than I have obviously been trying to. Fisher has said that it was will inevitably happen to the club if we cannot get an agreement. ACL have said that is one of their options if they do not get their money. So, yes to all intents and purposes they have both threatened to liquidate. Or not, depending on how you feel or wish to twist the words.

Tim Fisher "They need to re-enter negotiations pronto or we file"....don't think there's any doubts that this is a clear and real threat to liquidate...putting a gun to the clubs head as it were as if they were in some sort of hostage negotiation situation. You keep comparing the language being used in each corner but show us a direct quote where ACL have been quite so imflamatory...

Yes, I am. Frequently. Read what OSB58 has to say in the other thread. God forbid, you won't disagree with him! ;)

I forgot Torchy....you're never wrong are you!

Was not expecting more people to see it as ACL's fault than CCFC (very small margain I know)
  • ACL 23 27.38%
  • Niether side specifically 41 48.81%
  • CCFC (SISU) 20 23.81%

FF: "Not many people have voted. Which means pro SISU people would be totally justified in saying that the poll is not representative. A bit like they say SBT is not representative"

Luckily, I was just about to reply to this before you deleted it. I presume that was because you realised I could easily swap the word SISU for ACL. And yet, you've been posting stats and percentages of people not siding with SISU. Not representative either, eh? Brilliant. :claping hands:

In fairness. Someone else started the stats skewing. Look back up the posts. Stats are good and bad.

Que? ........check the poll again.

my mistake misread the original line....still much closer than I would have imagined though. Perhaps it shows the people who shout loudest don't always have the majority backing there shouting might lead you to believe?

For me I think you could have split it down even further and had a CCFC tab and a SISU option but I understand why the poll creator might not want to dilute that portion of the vote.

Sure. I totally agree, these figures mean nothing. And either one of us can make good or bad of the figures.

Torchy says.........
Part 1).......I'm not squirming, I was just trying to make you take the blinkers off and stop you having anti CCFC-tunnel vision. But I give up.

Part 2).....If the club are out in administration and the Americans take over at least it will stop you spouting complete rubbish for a while. I take it you're all for the Americans?

Haven't I always said that Torchy very rarely reads my threads/posts, but gives "Likes" to posters who disagree with them.
Proof in "Black and White" now guys and girls!
Part 1)......Try reading my post on the "Poll"...I said the poll should have been "XYZ"..... have a look back Torchy!
The way I said opened up a whole new way of the "Poll".
Part 2).....Same answer to you mate.....Have a look back!
I said "Remember the Poll on "Would anybody buy CCFC if they won the Euro" At that time it was approx 117m....Nobody said they would buy CCFC...Reason...Not enough money to do it!
The Yank is only worth another £40m....Same answer...Not worth it!

That's not correct at all...saying that if ACL don't metaphorically bend over for them they will file to put the club out of existence isn't the same as the language ACL have been using...You have in effect said they've been saying pretty much the same thing on the subject of liquidation but ask me to trawl through OSB's posts to find the evidence of what you're saying. I haven't seen any language being used by anyone at ACL which threatens the very existence of our club and I strongly suspect neither have you.

Just for you and Delboy. Both have said it was an option. Neither have done it. Yet.

What ACL said months ago is that winding up "is an option"................ it always has been .............. doesnt mean they would take it

Yes ACL have judgement for a statutory demand ............ the remedy for non payment of such is winding up........ that isnt what ACL have gone for

what SISU through TF said was

""We are at a tipping point and insolvent liquidation cannot be reasonably avoided."
"They need to re-enter negotiations pronto or we file. We'll have no option because there would not be reasonable probability of avoiding insolvency liquidation."

In reality neither are a threat ..... more a strong expression of what the realities are.

I dont understand why people on both sides of the argument are getting their knickers in a twist over it....... neither have said anything that wasnt actually true

BTW Torchy.......
You made suggestions as to what I think about the Yanks, and that I'm Anti-CCFC.
Don't be an arsehole all your life mate. At least do me the honour of READING my previous posts on those subjects.

ACL have an option to wind up-they at no point have threatened to use it. SISU have verbally said they might!

"We just want to be like a normal football club. A normal football club keeps all the revenues it generates on matchday. That is catering, beverages and parking revenue," Fisher added. "When somebody puts a gun in your mouth, it is no longer a negotiation, it's an execution. You either accept the deal or get out of town. The council have gone on record and said 'get out of town'. We may have to take that invitation."

Mr Fisher...Can you honestly say that SISU haven't done just what you accuse ACL of over the last 12 months?
You agree to the "Header" on the £400k rent....Were offered the revenue streams on F+B free gratis, yet renege on all points, and have the nerve to say the above!

Yes, "might". If the situation can't be sorted out. You could also argue that ACL "might" if they can't get their money. Another word for SBK's "legal options". They both "might". It is an "option" for both parties. OSB was bang on.

At least I can admit that SISU have suggested that "might" happen. SBK, you and others dismiss ACLs "option" as unimportant.

ACL have an option to wind up-they at no point have threatened to use it. SISU have verbally said they might!

ACL on liquidation: "We are putting the administration claim to avoid SISU attempting to liquidate the club".

Not a word of threat-they may have the capacity, but not the intent. Certainly not the stated intent.

SISU on liquidation: "We are considering getting out of town and liquidating the club".

An explicit threat.

Say I have a gun. Am I therefore guilty of being Derrick Bird?!? Ah, but I could go on a murderous rampage, so yes, I am.

Why? If I want to read shit I'll read the Daily Mail.

Then don't make accusations that have no substance. You only make yourself look even more of a prat, than what you are now!
You got served "Bigtime" Torchy, now go and lick your wounds!

I'm not exactly sure what "served big time" actually means. I've got no wounds to lick. You, me, NL and others will have to interpret the words as we see them, won't we? I interpret them differently to you.

Then don't make accusations that have no substance. You only make yourself look even more of a prat, than what you are now!

It's a matter of interpretation and also hearing what you want to hear.

A skill you seem very adept at.

There's a huge difference between explicitly threatening something and having the capability to threaten it. I'm pretty flabbergasted that anybody could say it's the same. Is green the same as purple?

Are we talking Ben turner here or was that just a made up fact?

As I recollect Ben Turner was a reported to be £750k with Parkin coming to Coventry in part exchange....
Scott Dann and Danny Fox were "Undisclosed" with NO REPORTED price, but YOU, magic up "Estimated Facts" on their price!
