Just occured to me Callums a free agent in a year aswell

I know its a totally different circumstance due to his injury and is he going to come back the same player etc, but do we think we will be in the same boat with him?

I personally think he will sign at least a 1 year extension for security more than anything

I would offer him a 2 year extension

So three years total?

I think it’s worth the gamble. Robins will know more than anyone how he’s shaping up in rehab though.

Let's just get him playing first, then Doug can offer him an extension at Christmas.

He was pretty gutted about the whole Burnley saga. Affected him. It will be interesting to see if he signs a new contract, as he can leave on a free like Gus.

12 months to go, and injured for the start of the new campaign. However there will soon be a pressing need to resolve his contractual status if he is either to stay or move for a fee after the end of next season.

Clearly not a priority just now, but attention better be paid to it as soon as August is over.

if he would I'd take the gamble and tie him down for another 2+ years.

Yes its a risk but losing him on a free would suck

Can't wait to see him back and fully fit. Hopefully can get to the same levels as pre-injury.

Before last season, O'Hare was probably the one player out of the "main three" I would have wanted to keep the most

A combination of Sakamoto, Palmer, Van Ewijk, O'Hare & Simms could be some attacking force this season. Stick Hamer in there too possibly

Yep, good options to have.
I'm resigned to Hamer leaving, but having O'Hare back at 100% definitely would lessen the damage I think.
Could see Sakamoto playing in that attacking midfield role throughout the season as well, rather than as a wing back
