They're currently too busy slating the points system because some bloke who went to two games and bought a scarf didn't get as many points as a season ticket holder.

Nope- there skint….

Burnley accounts reveal 'nasty' clause that could force club to sell players if relegated

Demotion to the Championship would probably see a £65m debt secured against the club called up, meaning they would probably have to sell players to raise the capital

If they’re skint then what are we considering they’ve been able to spend about £7m on players so far this summer?

They've only got £50m in cash reserves and have sold a player for £20m with parachute payments to come to support what was a comparatively low by PL standards wage bill.

They can afford whatever paltry sum Boddy is trying to punt O'Hare for.

If he does go it’s got to be 10 million plus add ons surely?
They’d probably double his wages, so it’s whether he’d want to go.
Personally think he’s happy here it’s close to home and works with a great bunch of lads.
Here’s hoping

All I care about is can we get the next one and pay the Sisu piper with any fee? Ideally the next two, but as long as the squad quality doesn’t drop.

Was really hoping we could keep the spine of the team together, the additions have given us that little bit extra we were missing last year.

Callum is so vital to how we play.

How reliable is this account?
Saying agent is pushing move.
This is/seems to be gathering some momentum now over a few different sources.

Sounds ominous. I'd rather lose Hamer every time over the two, as much as o hare can't shoot for shit, he is integral.

You just know this season he'll find his shooting boots

  1. The word “probably” features very prominently in that article - I have no idea whether they “have to” pay that back soon or whether they are able to re-finance it - do you? £50m in cash plus a £20m debtor - I would have thought we would like to be in that position regardless of what debt we have.

As for COH we signed him on a free and if we make £x millions on him so be it. There were many times few seasons when he frustrated the hell out of me and those around me and I would imagine ME and AV felt the same.

it wasn’t that long ago that I had real concerns about whether would have a team to support at all. I know things aren’t perfect but I trust MR more than I have done any other manager for a very long time.

Can I just say, Samuel covered our U18s a couple of seasons ago, seems a nice chap and doing well for himself but I doubt he has any sources.

I’d like Delap here.
If we are going to end up selling O’Hare they better make it quick so we don’t miss out on someone like Rudoni who’s only going for £800k

Also that defender they just sold for £20m I think the reason it was so high was cause there was a big sell on fee from Stoke they had to factor in

I don't mind if we sell.

I will be massively pissed off if we don't reinvest at least 20% though.

Not at all, throws tonnes of shit & hopes some stick. Then subsequently goes back & deletes the stuff that was wrong.

Selling for a figure reaching £10m is fine, no issues with that. It’s the potential we won’t properly reinvest to replace him that scares me…

i wouldn’t take what Sam Collins says too seriously, he’s a young lad from Rugby who has just done a journalism course, and whose dad is a Burnley fan.
Nice lad but wishful thinking and not in the know at all.

If he is on the phone to their manager then I assume a bid has been accepted?

Otherwise that's tapping up, isn't it?

Tapping up not really a thing anymore …. It’s understood that clubs sound players / agents out about their interest and salary expectations before they bid

Doesnt really make sense wanting Delap and O'Hare both are going to want to play. Hard to fully understand which rumours are fact and fiction at the moment.

We seriously cannot sell cal, he is the heart of our side, if he does go, who replaces him or do we change formation to accommodate his loss which i doubt very much.
