Why not, it seems he has rubbished the Simon Moore to Bournemouth story reported in the Telegraph.

You mean the one you told us about? That was you wasn’t it?

6 million up front, 6 million next financial year and one of their best upcoming players on a years loan apparently. Was always going to happen once they managed to free up cash with a big sale. Gutted

Up to the selling club to accept/reject an instalment offer. And we should reject in this case.

The instalments have to have some cerainty of being paid though and the stories around Burnley dont give that confidence

I’d like to think if we sold we’d bring 2 players in, would love that Geordie on loan

We will. If this allows them to pay up front they may be able to get it over the line.

I'd want a couple to develop like O'Hare (i.e. first team ready with greater potential).

I think the idea mooted on here of getting in Bird and Sibley would be acceptable to most, even though I'd be really reluctant to lose O'Hare.

Apparently a helicopter landed at Ryton today and O'Hare was seen boarding it. My source from within the club have said that Burnley are back and not going away. O'Hare is keen on the move as he's never been in a helicopter before and Burnley are pulling out all the stops to impress him. A player plus cash deal looks extremely likely. Thanks for your time Cal.

I doubt you’d get both with the O’Hare money. It would be one or the other with more than likely sibley to replace O’Hare. They aren’t gonna let their young players go cheap either and we won’t see much of the O’Hare money. If they did pull a double swoop off that would be some deal.

Derby fans seem to think £3.5 m for Sibley would be the fee that would be sought

I would presume Derby fans know about as much about their clubs inner transfer dealings, as Coventry fans know about theirs.

Spot on! I watched a bit of Kompany's press conference and to me it was clear they have this debt/loan repayments and they need to generate funds. Also feels like them spending money on the players they have was done knowing player sales were required.

I would be surprised for them to stump up the money we are requesting.
And once the season starts and the deadline gets ever closer I just think a deal is less and less attractive from our perspective.

It depends how desperate we are ourselves.

Burnley Journo has reported that O’Hare wants the move but no fee has been agreed. Would love to know where they have got that info.

Same one who said Delap is signing weeks ago and hasn’t.

Every player has an asking price. Meet it and complete the deal. They know what we want so ball is in their court if they really want CoH.

Apparently Burnley have upped the stakes. There's a limo with a swimming pool and a helicopter all built in driving around the Ryton area looking for a parking spot. Photo evidence incoming.

What happens if we dont? Are we going to go bust? I'm happy with the squad as is stands, we don't need to free up money for any additions.

Losing O'Hare to replace with an injured palmer and nobody else would be incredibly short sighted.

Also why, when we said get fucked the other week, would we wait until further into the window, and start the season with Callum to then cave and take less?

If he was going to go he would have gone no?

Because nobody wants to buy them and will take a pay off to get rid.
