It all feels a bit surreal and a bit too good to be true. What we are experiencing is truly fantastic, so good morning all Skyblues , as hopefully your still in dream land , at our fantastic team yesterday gave us top spot ….
We are top of the league !!!!!!
Shows it’s not accident or good luck.3 of the top 5 goal scorers. 2 of the top 5 assists. Top clean sheets. Top of the league.
Are you this pessimistic in real life or just on here? It's brilliant but whisper: it's still very early days.
Remember 1983 home against Liverpool, Gibson hat trick before HT, finished 4-0 and Fagan tipped us for the title. We finished 19th and avoided relegation by one place!
Just seen it all before. Top of the Prem in its first season 92-93 after 3 games, finished 15th. I don't think we'll fade like these seasons but it's very early to be talking automatics. Are you this pessimistic in real life or just on here?
That Liverpool game came out of nowhere too. I heard it on R5 but the Villa game was a bit special! Blackburn away too and then we went on and sold Gally! For me, i think this set of results is most similar to the glorious Christmas/Bew Year when we beat Liverpool 5-1 and the Villa 3-0.
Not even thinking about the table until at least Jan/Feb time as it’s still very hollow. Nice to look at but two bad weeks and it’s totally different.
You just know, you’re so sure? That City’s gonna throw it away, gonna blow it away?Just seen it all before.
nah, we're putting at least 6 past blackburnAgree, very early days.
I don't expect the goal glut to continue at the levels it is currently but the perfirmance levels, clean sheets, work ethic and the fitness levels give me real hope that we can keep ourselves in and around the business end of the table all season.

Also :3 of the top 5 goal scorers. 2 of the top 5 assists. Top clean sheets. Top of the league.
It feels different this season. Just looking at the determination of the players, they are hungry for it. The management team are hungry for it. The owner is hungry for it. We are winning games we would have drawn or lost in the past. Not just scraping wins either, but blowing teams out of the waterThis train doesn't seem to be stopping.
I really think we can carry this on.
It'll come down to luck with injuries and whether we have the depth in the winter months. This train doesn't seem to be stopping.

Selling Gallacher was the last player I was truly gutted about us letting go.*That Liverpool game came out of nowhere too. I heard it on R5 but the Villa game was a bit special! Blackburn away too and then we went on and sold Gally!
The January transfer window can’t come round soon enough. It'll come down to luck with injuries and whether we have the depth in the winter months.
I believed for years that he'd wanted to go. It was just recently that I heard that he and Strachan had agreed to a new contract only for the board to sell him!*and Dublin.
I wonder if he'll move MVE on to raise funds. It would be a great shame with the way he's playing but he might just be tempted to "let it ride on lucky seven" if we're still up thereThe January transfer window can’t come round soon enough.
Yeah me too! I think I heard it on here. Disastrous decision.I believed for years that he'd wanted to go. It was just recently that I heard that he and Strachan had agreed to a new contract only for the board to sell him!
Big fan of both obviously!Yeah me too! I think I heard it on here. Disastrous decision.
Given your name on here…for a long time I maintained that Speedie was the best player we’ve had in my time but Dublin was possibly better. Not that we need to get into that debate for the millionth time. Both v good and different players.
I can’t see it…at least I’d hope not!I wonder if he'll move MVE on to raise funds. It would be a great shame with the way he's playing but he might just be tempted to "let it ride on lucky seven" if we're still up there
If we’re there or thereabouts in January I’d expect King to go all in on a promotion push. Nobody leaves, a few more join and if we don’t make it then sell a fair few in the summer.I wonder if he'll move MVE on to raise funds. Very true! The parachutes will probably have more money Jan thoughThe only good thing is that the majority of teams in this league will be in the same boat.

It'll all come down to cashflow I expect. The way I see it, it was very telling in the summer that we didn't/couldn't get another centre half until somebody, Sheaf in the end, moved on. If the funds were there surely we'd have brought someone in earlier in the summer. If we’re there or thereabouts in January I’d expect King to go all in on a promotion push.
