The way the current defenders ar playing we would be mid table by May in any case. Get the young legs in and Martin back then you pick 1 of the Dads army to do the talking if need be.

Liverpool have been in contact with Coventry City regarding teenage midfielder James Maddison. However, their interest in the youngster is geared towards a further approach in the summer.

Isn't that a bit odd?

If he's going in the summer anyway, wouldn't it be better to sell him now and loan him back?

The way League One defenders are clattering into him, he could easily be out with a long term injury. That won't put his price up in the summer.
