Why cut off your nose to spite your face the last game was probably the best city performance for years go watch at only nine pounds at long last value for money sixfields is the place to be bring on the county
Exactly. Anything could have happened.
Saying we wouldn't exist has about as much merit as me claiming that Bill Gates would have definitely bought us if sisu hadn't.
They won't even read it - it won't effect them one iota.
I suggest you address your questions to several people who know and understand what's involved with running a football club but I'm not going to be foolish enough to name them.
Nobody is right here, SISU, Coventry City Council, ACL, The Alan Higgs Trust or the other parties involved.
The blame game is however stupid, IMHO !
It's no good keep looking back, we need to look forward with a much more positive attitude instead of all the negativity that's surrounded us ((CCFC) for more years than I care to remember.
PUSB!
I'm afraid if I were the type to invest in such funds as SISU manage, their current positioning would please me immensely and encourage me to keep my funds there.
Far more than their previous tenancy of the club.
No one knows what is sustainable as no one knows who is deciding this investment is a worthwhile consideration.
We do know that the football
League had evidence the losses are to be funded. If these funds are generated by one or two high risk investors who are gambling on a specified endgame then it doesn't matter if 1 or 6,000 are in Sixfields. Indeed if promotion was achieved then much of the speculators funds will be recouped almost immediately.
Crowds mean nothing and negative publicity even less.
Sure they'd have the sense to have worked out which posters to read by now though
The sooner those posting threads like this one realise that it won't make the slightest difference the better. IMHO
If you've decided not to come to Sixfields fine but don't think by not going it will change anything, either swallow your pride and come along and get behind Steven and the lads or stop posting silly threads like this when most of us want to talk about the fantastic football, probably the best for the last 15 to 20 years.
Hopefully see you all ( or at least some of you ) at the Notts. County game on Saturday PUSB!
For a true experiance following the sky blues go to milton keynes and support the team. Onl £8.50 on the train
RFC is discrediting himself by making pretty big assumptions, I sympathise with what he's saying somewhat, whilst not totally agreeing with him (but not with his predictions).
Short term, we would've been worse off, because relegation was a certainty if we had gone into admin (likely had SISU not come in), but after that, no one can account for anything, we could've had a Southampton-style like recovery, but likewise, a Luton/Pompey-style further decay.
I do think Alki David's comments are worth looking into (multi-billionaire who was looking to invest before looking at the finances) he said: "after looking at the finances, and numbers, the club is falling apart", quickly pulling out and wishing whoever took over 'good luck' and what we do know, is that hedge-funds make risky investments

I remember an article in either the Times or some other broadsheets in the 90's with headline "what is the point of Coventry City?" It's thrust was all Coventry City`s ambition was yo stay up in Orem and no more. It annoyed a lot of people at the time including me as it was so condescending.
I will use a similaar headline , "what is the point of Coventry City if it does play there or represent the city of Coventry?"
Swallow pride and go to Northampton? I find that insulting personally. If you have no pride what to you have? Empty principles?
Empty principles = SISU Northampton.

But sisu Northampton are fine and dandy when they play at Mk franchise dons.
Never a good idea to reveal your 'sources' otherwise you may not get any information in the future (re providing evidence!).
In other words you haven't got a clue.
I was told last year about 15 min walk and the pubs are on the way
Perhaps not in non-league, it is probable, that ha SISU not 'come to the rescue', we would've got relegated that season (we survived by 1 point, -10 = relegation). There's no good predicting what would've happened from then, someone worse than SISU could've came in, by the same merit, we could've had someone better,
Who knows?
If it hadn't been for our current owners we'd be where???????????????????????
Same place has Southampton.
DEFINITELY NOT IN THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And even that would be better than having the mercenary sisu owing OUR Club.
They won't even read it - it won't effect them one iota.
Fucking boring, can't you dream up something a little more originalthey already have haven't they grendel cause you have
so you can guarantee that Marcus liebherr would have bought us had Southampton not been available? If it hadn't been for our current owners we'd be where???????????????????????

Please supply the names of the clubs who are successful but don't own their own ground? Unfortunately the 'rules' have changed thanks to Sepp and his friends.
FIFA Financial Fair Play (complicated & involved but don't let it put you off researching it!).

Probably proceeding with the JR on strong legal advice? I have no intention of speculating and whilst I'll agree we may not have the perfect owners, who does?
Newcastle, Leeds, Cardiff, Man. U, Liverpool, Southampton, Birmingham, I could go on & on & on & on but .......................to be quite honest, I'm bored.
PUSB!

Well, I think others have already done it, but it seems that Man City are Swansea are at least two clubs that lease their stadium. Believe West Ham might be heading down that road too. Walsall rent and survive, at a higher cost (£460k) and lower gates than we would have, though in their case 'success' is relative admittedly. At least they haven't gone through administration, liquidation and third-party debt orders lately.
As for your not revealing your sources, that just suggests to me that you don't have any evidence. At all. Might be best not to make claims that you can't evidence, or people might just think that you're bullshitting to support your own view - or if you prefer offering your opinion as fact.
And the 'bored now' thing? The classic, ill-mannered response of someone who has just lost an argument (usually as a result of making claims they can't support logically or with evidence), but hasn't got the good grace to admit it.
Quite a few of Norfampton fans seemed to have changed allegience and are going to City games they reckon its cheaper and better entertainment. What would happen if City robbed that many Norfampton fans it effected their cash flow? Why cut off your nose to spite your face the last game was probably the best city performance for years go watch at only nine pounds at long last value for money sixfields is the place to be bring on the county
Also, of the top of my head there is:
Chelsea
Hull
Leeds
Leicester
Ipswich
Wolves
Doncaster
According to Supporters Direct, the umbrella organisation which provides support and assistance for supporters trusts, there have been at least 54 occasions when clubs have been separated from the ownership of their grounds in the last 20 years and usually this has "not resulted in positive outcomes" for those clubs.

Going back to the Ricoh is or would be a backward step, everyone conveniently seems to have forgotten that the unsustainable rent deal (£1:28 Million) was signed more than 2 years before we even moved-in 2003 and just to "break-even", we required gates in excess of 23,000! Give me strength!
Our current owners should not have agreed to it when they took over the club but the rent issue had previously been brought to the councils attention by our chairman in 2005/06 but his requests for a revue were turned down. He borrowed heavily to off-set the losses we inevitably were making and was unable to repay the debt.
If it hadn't been for our current owners we'd be where???????????????????????

Be very careful what you wish for.

Hull are making noises about their ground holding them back.
