That’s my biggest concern. Take out Robins and we are back where we were before Robins and the club was only heading in one direction. Get us into the Championship and keep us there with a sizeable stadium and I think we’ll be OK.

No reason to be at St. Andrews other than the fact we’ve been exiled by the owners of the RICOH...

Would that be against the CCC and not the WASPs one then?

Get us back to the Championship and SISU might be in a better position to sell for an appropriate amount rather than the Quid thats being offered.

The reason we aren’t at the Ricoh is cause wasps don’t want to work with the company that has started a process that mean they could possibly lose either the stadium, a lot of money or both.

the reason we aren’t in Coventry is cause sisu won’t build a stadium or ccc won’t help them to find the land.

The Ricoh one is obvious, the new stadium one isn’t. Which one of the two, sisu or ccc is preventing a new ground being built ?

people’s desire to get back to a stadium that is not a medium / long term solution is difficult for me to get. It’s never been ours and suspect it never will be

Even if Fisher was on CWR tomorrow morning saying they'd bought Ikea and put in a planning application you'd be looking at 5 years if you're lucky, more likely 10 or more, before a stadium was built. Therefore if we're going to play in Cov in the short to mid term the only option is the Ricoh.

Lets get back to Cov and then worry about what to do long term.

and wasps know that urgency. They can sit back, not worry about the minimal amount of income they could earn from us, as they have a bigger problem in the eu case.

Agreed this could be 5 years.fisher sold the dream in may 2013, so even at 10 years we shouldn’t have long to wait.

I just can’t see a way out of this mess unless we get our own stadium. At some point Birmingham will get cheesed off and we move to WBA. We can’t continue with no home long term

Ok nobody answered last time so I’m going to try again.

if negotiations had broken down, why did anyone sign an NDA? You sign an NDA to protect details of deals that happen, not that don’t happen.

When was it signed and what does it cover- does it cover us not playing at the Ricoh (doesn’t make sense) or just the negotiations that happened to that point (in which case wouldn’t an NDA have been invalidated?)

I know the indemnity is the big issue but I don’t understand why anyone would have signed an NDA when there was no actual deal between us & Wasps to protect confidentiality around.

It's only legal action if the EU commission conclude wrongdoing took place.

I think it’s all bullshit. An NDA around a deal that never happened. I don’t doubt the indemnity but I’d say all this NDA stuff is just an excuse, a smokescreen to spook people and give an easy get out to anyone asked questions.

OP is absolutely correct. St Andrews is no longer fit for our expansive and delicious style of play.

We need to go back to our spiritual home that is Six Fields and to hell with any fancy notions of playing in Coventry.

SISU could buy a Crown Green Bowling facility near London, courtesy of a mega discount from the local council. We call ourselves ‘Jasper Bastards FC’....then forcefully purchase Enfield’s OAP Aqua Fitness Center as a training facility.

Imagine...if you will...a slide-rule Allen through-ball to Godden on that fucking immaculate surface**

**Obviously Godden is flagged offside ....by a disgruntled old local who’s so pissed off at not being able to Aqua Zumba to Janet Jackson’s ‘Nasty Boys’ that he went and got FIFA refereeing badges

I could be wrong as I know very little about the ins and outs, but wasn’t the NDA signed at the same time there was a deal agreed between Wasps and SISU to stay at the Ricoh, which only came out once CCC received the information regarding the EU challenge and the deal was off?
Like I say there’s a good chance I’m wrong I’m just hypothesising based on my memory of the situation

For around 5500 people that doesn't seem to be a problem but for another 10k they don't want to make the journey as it can be a pain in the arse. Not everyone can afford to travel or bothered to make that extra effort instead of walking or getting a bus a couple of miles to the ricoh.I can walk to the Ricoh, this is the first season in years I haven't had a season ticket and pick and choose my games at St Andrews.

Interesting, did you have a season ticket because you could walk to the Ricoh, would you have one if the stadium was the opposite side of town and you had to travel across town ?

The parties would have signed an NDA ahead of negotiations to protect any confidential (and/or possibly cobtroversial) information shared during the process. As such all that info is protected regardless of how the negotiations ended. I suspect that as both sides are secretive and the whole subject area highly controversial they would not want to risk having their demands etc made public if they didn't have to.

What would cost less. A 20k stadium in Coventry or a 10k stadium in north London?

Big difference Birmingham to the other side of Coventry. I was considering renewing this season but couldn't see me going every game at St Andrews. There are about 8/10 of us that pick and choose games as not everyone can make the games certain weeks due to family commitments.I applaud everyone that makes the journey.

I admit the travel is a pain but cost isn’t an issue. It’s cheaper to go on the train than drive to a paid car park at the Ricoh - it’s £2.50 for night games

Travelling to Brum is also more convenient for a lot of people than travelling to the rumoured new ground site of Woodlands school. The fact is, people will go if they can be arsed. A lot of it is just excuses

It is awkward, especially with the M6 and them fucking about with it.

I worked it out the other day, I parked at the Ricoh for free but it was a bit further out and it was about a 20 minute walk and a 10 minute drive. I got back from St Andrews in 45 minutes the other night including the walk to the car so it wasn't too bad.

That's my own circumstance with driving but I can imagine people hanging about for coaches etc is much different.
