Great play by DKE to find Ruben, he swivels into the box, crosses for Agyei who's unlucky with his first shot that hits the post and he's too close to the goal for the rebound which is put wide

Agyei off for Spence
Stevenson off for DKE (2)

This result is making TM's decision to play a full-strength team seem pretty short-sighted.

I don't want to sound knee jerk but I'm rather worried. I feel like we've regressed to where we were this time 2 years back. The return from summer with a depleted squad and a team that struggles to score trying to adopt a new system. Not one decent striker of our own. It's the same situation again. I like what Mowbray is trying to do for the longer term but something better than short term survival has to be an objective surely?

Why don't we ever raise our game in these cup ties?
Only under Dowie have we properly given somebody a game. Yes Coleman beat Blackburn after a replay.

Maddison shoots embarrassingly wide

I can hear it now from Mogga "we forget about this result and move on. Let's take the positives..."

The season that starts in October right? That's when we'll have a "gelled squad"?

He's not going to castigate a young team is he ffs. When Pressley did it he got criticised for it. The end of the day it's a team with a top level championship squad. Our problems are the lack of bite we have in midfield and goal threat.

I'm sorry but this is bloody embarressing. Mowbray again plays Agyei for sixty minutes , why the fuck is he here ,to play half a game every week.
Mowbray is obsessed with making three subs ,whatever the score. This team needs time playing together urgently, but he has to follow the coaching handbook he must have.

Apart from our game, looking at the latest scores, there are no "shocks" at all

Edit: I don't mean it's a shock we are getting hammered.

Clearly, 60 minutes equates to two thirds, not half ompus:

More pissing about at the back between Harries and Ricketts conced possession to Maddison, who's clearly wide to our defensive lapses and short passes, he plays in his team mate, but he can't convert

If he's not fit, and he was dead on his feet on Saturday, he should be taken off. No point keeping him on now as tonight's match is a write off. We need 3 points Saturday.

No he should've played him for 90 minutes in a game we can't win and run the risk of him getting an injury

So many knee jerkers in here.

You do realise we're playing a team just relegated from the Premier League?

You do realise we have 4 first XI players out?

You do realise the season doesn't finish in August?

It sounds as if we've got the bumbling and stuttering commentary from Geoff Foster, nice bloke he may be, and his side kick once again. I know that many one here are not too keen on Clive Eakin but his commentary is both professional and fluent.
How on earth the BBC employ dear old Geoff God as a sport commentator is beyond belief.
I think I'll just have to rely on SW88's updates and take on the match in preference to CWR for this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think you'll find this is a result of Geoff having had a stroke ........

It seems rare for us to play a good game, But we want it to be the opposite; it needs to be that we rarely play badly.
I can only put it down to the fact that our players are simply not good enough.

Exactly, Mowbray needs to get some fire in their bellies.

It is only Lamieries who sticks the boot in when the ref isn't looking.
