Football Association tightens retrospective punishment ruling t's been this way for years. The incident on Allen was the challenge, which was seen and (incorrectly) dealt with.

Is it not overriding the referee to say a foul took place where the referee saw nothing?
I also feel that ship has somewhat sailed in modern professional football - either punish things the referee didn’t spot after the fact or don’t imo, shouldn’t matter if a free kick or card was given.

I think most people who aren’t two footed go for most balls with their strongest foot by default.

I’m surprised Academies aren’t working harder at making young players more two footed. In the late 60’s Liverpool had a simple solution it was called the box of death. It was like a squash court with a football.
i developed two feet by kicking a ball against the outside toilet wall, playing the ball first time with the foot nearest to where the ball landed.
It‘s not like you need loads of equipment to develop both feet, a ball and a wall. Or just another person continuously feeding your weaker foot.

Having calmed down, and watched the extended highlights.
1st Half
Haji very nearly made it 2-0, after a great flick from Esse.
Add to that the early chance for Torp, where the defender somehow managed to recover.
We were shit, but actually had the better chances in that 1st half. Norwich hit the post and had pressure, but that was it.
2nd Half
Howler from Bobby Thomas, letting his man go leads to Norwich eqaliser right after time. Also an argument that Dasilva should have done better on the line too.
Then Haji is through, and EMC nearly scores but defender clears.
EMC then hits the post with a header.
Kitching howler. Norwich get 2nd.
Wright is sent through on the left and the keeper saves.
Deserved to lose of course. Slloppy and careless from front to back, but still created 5 or 6 big chances. That gives me some hope, as bad as we were

The thing that gets to me the most was that this was an ideal opportunity to beat Norwich and draw a line under the misery they have caused us over the past few seasons. As it is we have this staggeringly bad record against the two East Anglian clubs since our return to the Championship which shows no signs of reversal.

It’s the case across football though. I agree, same as long throws same as upper body strength same as set pieces, all a factor of practice and technique over “natural ability” where small inputs result in large improvements but very few footballers do it.
I remember asking Jack Burroughs’ Dad on here if Jack practices throwins being a fullback and was surprised the answer was no.

Standard embarrassing reaction from a lot of the people on here and Twitter whenever we lose a game.
Reality of yesterday is, it’s probably a draw overall and a silly mistake cost us. It’s going to happen to us, Boro and Ipswich over the next 3 months.
Immediately screaming about needing two new CBs and a LB whenever we lose a game does my head in. We’re top and clear of 3rd by 8 points with 17 games to go ffs.
Ipswich (A) - play well, get countered, their gap in quality shows unfortunately.
PNE (A) - Very unlucky to draw, Iversen makes 2/3 incredible saves and their one chance flies into the top bins.
Saints (A) - Good performance undone by DaSilva being a cretin.
Charlton (A) - Solid performance undone by Brau being a cretin.
Birmingham (A) - they have three shots on target, all go in.
Norwich (A) - Overall not a great performance, but if Haji or EMC take their chances and Kitching isn’t an idiot it’s a different story.
Over that stretch I don’t think we’ve actually been that bad. On 3 occasions there’s been silly individual errors that have cost us points but I never come away from games thinking, Christ we look terrible and like we’ll never win again.
The reality is, the underlying numbers suggest our away form will bounce back at some point. You’ve got to just hold strong and not be incredibly reactionary to every game and demand we change half the team and announce Lampard as a fraud.

It's not a silly reaction.
We haven't won away for 2 months and the games we've lost we've shown the same frailties over and over again.
If our away form doesnt improve there's a good chance we miss out of the autos.
As for individual errors, they've played a part, but that's down to the manager to sort out

Also individual errors come from being constantly under pressure. You eventually lose against the law of averages.

I'm sorry, but I see nothing to suggest we're going to turn this around if we keep doing the same things over and over again.
Everyone on here can see what's happening, it was being pointed out last night before the inevitable happened.

I'd argue we got no more points than we deserved in those games.
Southampton you can take out, as it was a good 45 minutes followed by backs to the wall. Fair enough.
The rest, we were shit. Preston, the worst of the lot. Much better than them 11 v 11, then them down to ten and no space. Ok, difficult, and I'd accept a 0-0 there; but we got in front, then completely relaxed and let them back in. You don't deserve anything from that, not bad luck. Ipswich, ok, big refereeing call against us, but once they were ahead, there was only one winner. Charlton, very uninspiring, second best for entire of second half; they deserved a point. Birmingham and Norwich you don't deserve anything with defending like that.
So three points from six away games. About right, based on performances.
I don't want to panic, but that form is a concern. We need a win against QPR as much to stop it becoming a millstone as anything.
