Who is going to want to come to the Championship leaders?
Tbf it’s a hard comment to defend on the face of it- and made in jest in the midst of watching that shower tonight-
However they’re only gonna get the pedigree of player they need by deferred wage enhancements - and any possible suitors might think twice- especially if we lose at Qpr.

Grimes has become a hindrance I fear, not for his ability, but for our overall reliance on him him being the one to start everything.

Teams just press him, allow him to give it to the centre backs and they’ll likely give it away when they go for a high percentage ball.
It doesn't help we have fuck all options for an out ball.

Eccles should have started instead of Asante. What did he do? Threw an elbow and wrestled their centre forward. Sported a nice wrist strapping. Did he know it was a ball game or did he think he’d signed up for a cage fight.

No other teams would start with 4 out and out attackers away from home that’s why.
It got us 1-0 up, can’t plan for you’re centre giving them a goal 1 min after the restart, that stays 1-0 a bit longer we get a draw at least, keep saying we’ve got one of the worst defences in the league, keep asking them to do what they can’t… like defend

Xg 1.25 (Norwich) vs 1.61 (Coventry). We created good chances, there were two good saves from Wright, bar from EMC etc. It's just that all the players - all of them - the goals that went in the first half of the season are now being saved/blocked/hitting post. Still think it's our defense that is the problem in this poor run, we've been caught sleeping after the re-start and handed them the winner...

Worrying. Is the blip the couple of recent games we won? Even before we started dropping points prior to that we had a fair few results where we rode our luck.

Can't really blame injuries at this point or not doing anything in the window.
We've been riding our luck since Blackburn. Results masked the issues but we've not been the same team since that day. Blackburn were the first team to realise we were easy to break down on the counter. Every team has done it to us since.

This is a good point. He's lost confidence I fear. Great player who needs a boost around him. Players have to step up or new players have to come in

Agree. Grimes was poor.

He was the least of our problems tonight. Two sloppy bits of defending and goal aside very little from our forwards other than wright who I thought was decent

Teams are targeting us and grimes in particular as we’re playing two in the middle. They know if they mark him tight we struggle to get into a rhythm. Drop another CM in there and it might help. We appeared to have a bit of a better structure with Eccles and Saka on
