Monday is a must not lose in my opinion

middlesborough play:
Stoke away
Preston Home (early KO)

Ipswich Play:
Sheff Utd Away

there is a good chance Middlesbrough will drop points and I can see Sheff Utd doing something at home to Ipswich!

Rushworth
MVE - Thomas - Kitch - JDS
Grimes - Torp
Esse - BTA - EMC
Simms

Sakamoto, Rudi, Wright, Eccles and Yang all to come off the bench (likes of Sakamoto to swap with Esse on from about 60/65)

It is so noticeable how much of an effect our strong bench has now. This should convert another tight game into a win in the last 20.

Watched the wba norwich highlights and the wba defending was garbage but Norwich also looked vulnerable at the back. Got to remember Norwich and wba are in the bottom for a reason and it was just the baggies were even worst than Norwich.

we need to tighten up the back and midfield whilst still maintaining our attacking threat. Grimes is constantly being left to cover for Dasilva when hes pushing forward and Rudoni keeps drifting out wide which then leaves gaps in the middle to be caught out on the counter.

Bobby back in for Latts, bta for Rudoni and or push Eccles into the 10 and play Torp

Clement has done a decent job there - Tougher game than it looks on paper and they have probably got the form player in the division in Makama

Depending on how results transpire before we play again, a draw would not be the worst result in the world, I feel more confident for QPR in the following game than this

Side I'd go with but Eccles for Torp and Wright for Simms.

Quite a bad feeling about this one. Away on Monday night at a place we never do well against a team finally starting to play like they should given the outlay. Take a point honestly but fingers crossed for more.

Similar to @Trueskyblue20 but with Wright up top:

Rushworth
MVE - Thomas - Kitch - JDS
Grimes - Torp
Esse - BTA - EMC
Wright

I think that's arguably the strongest line up we can put out or have had all season. Only queries that that would be a fully fit and on form Rudoni and potentially Saka on the right instead of Esse.

Other than that though, bar Dovin, it'll be nice to have a full squad to choose from.

Wouldn’t be surprised if both drop points between now and Monday.

If they did it becomes a huge game mentally I think, going 10 points clear of everyone again would be massive.

Makama should be someone we are trying to get in the summer.

BTA won't be fit enough to start. So it'll be Rudoni which is a concern.
As someone said above maybe put Eccles in as an extra midfielder instead of Rudoni. Can't see Frank doing that though.

Correct me if I'm wrong somebody - but saw that they are picking up close to 2pts pg since Clement came in.

Typically for us, they are in very good form/momentum - although I'm not quite sure what happened last night as they had a. XG of less than 1.... 0.8 something I believe - with WBA having an XG of over 1.

Are we writing this one off, along with WBA away!? 🤣🤣🤣

We've got a bit of a selection headache, which is a good thing.

I would like to see Grimes, Torp, and Eccles play in midfield. I would also like to see BTA start, so how does that work? You could play him right wing, but Esse is obviously a huge threat and scored last night. Equally, Simms has been very good of late, but Wright has come back in, scored two goals, and actually looked very good. Sakamoto brilliant as well.

There's an argument for about 15 players to be starting.

Thomas to come straight back , Rudoni please, please, please , be on the bench , Saka & BTA back to start & lets take it to them
If Rudoni is on the bench, will he have an impact if and when he needs to come on? The subs in the last few games have made a positive impact

I think start this one a bit more conservatively. Look to control the game and keep things tight at the back. This away game, just by nature, is a tough one.

Save Esse, BTA, Rudoni for the 70 min mark and then go for it. Wouldn't be adverse to Simms starting either. Having the option to bring Wright, Esse, BTA and Rudoni on for 25-30 mins would be excellent.

With the plethora of options available to us going forward I'm easy with however FL wants to go, but the one thing he must do is to bring Thomas straight back into the team.
