Mowbray has said the only thing holding back Harries from a place in the first team is his size, he sounds very excited about him. Can't wait till when we get to see him play.

I watch the academy when I can and I expected George Thomas to be the one making waves in the first team and Maddison to be out on loan because of his size. Yet it's the other way round out

Yea, slightly different I guess with a centre half. Attacking players don't need to be be big, especially in the number 10 role. Whereas a Hanson for Bradford would probably destroy Harries at this moment time.

I think we'll have a slight cup run. Mowbray has a good record in the FA Cup. Every season bar one (in which he wasn't manager at the start of the season) he's got his team past the first round of participation; including the semi-finals with West Brom. However, this season we're down to bare bones and he may deem the league more important. I am expecting 10,000+ attendance, considering last year we had 8,500 vs Worcester and Northampton are supposedly bringing a considerable amount of support. Can someone tell me if Joe Cole can play? PUSB

Northampton sold 2100 in advance so looking at 2500 on the day so crowd should be around the 10k mark, Think it will be I tight game city coming out 2-1 winners.

Don't care what the score is as long as we win.
Don't buy in to this I would rather the league then the Cup, as a loss in this game could then affect our league form just as it has on many other seasons.

When can I get into the stadium? Getting into Coventry about 1 and just wanted to have a heads up. Also, where can I buy programmes? Cheers.

Sure you can get into the ground around 1:30 and plenty of programme sellers outside the stadium.

Att 9,826 (9,825 if Otis isn't going. Not making that mistake again).

RCC
Phillips. Ricketts Martin Haynes
C Thomas Fleck
JOB. Cole. Lamearis

Tudgay

Subs
Burge
D, Kelly Evans
Stokes
Stevenson
Murphy
MAF
Sambou

That would be my starting line up tomorrow.
Looking at 45 minutes from Cole before bringing Murphy on.

I think 1-1 JOB in front of 8,500 with 2,500 from Northampton.

More the merrier nice to see a decent away following do miss the days of most championship clubs filling at least half the away end at the Ricoh.

Just need a professional performance tomorrow. Nothing silly, keep possession and take the big chances.

Going to be strange tomorrow.

Either went to games with my Dad or - if he wasn't up to it - rang him on the way home to tell him about the game.

He passed away yesterday.

Saw his first City game in 1933, so he saw a few ups and downs.

Sorry to hear that Tommy - he must have been well into his 80s, so at least he had a good innings. Many are lucky to get half that.

Let's hope City bang a few in in his honour today- City won 3-1 away at Derby the Saturday after my mum died in 2003- I always like to think she might have swung the result for us.

That's 3 defenders and no central midfielders on the bench. As Stevenson was given a squad number I think he's likely to be on the bench as CM cover.

Yes it will feel strange at the game. I lost my dad just over a year ago and he was a huge influence on my love of football. He too started going up Highfield road in the 30s and took me from the early 60s. As I grew up I started to stand with mates rather than dad but we would always talk after the game. Like you if I couldn't go the first thing dad would do was ring me and he even bought a mobile so he could txt me live scores. I never had the heart to tell him the mobile services were far quicker than his texting.
I sometimes hear myself now shouting the things he always shouted and my son often says he misses grandad especially when it has been a good game. He would have loved this season

So whenever you go to the football your dad and his memories will be with you. You will find yourself laughing and crying with him and when we score he will still be the first you turn to to throw your arms around. Take care and I hope today is not too painful

Sad news Dazzle, but sounds like you have many happy shared memories. My dad passed away in '86, but he was the one who first took me to Highfield Road aged 6 (even though he followed Wolves as a kid in the 50s!). He then took me to watch City at home a lot and away now and then until I was hooked. Still thank him for that (among many other things). Enjoy your memories

He got to most of the games this season. His last one was Blackpool.

Like all of us, he was enjoying the much more exciting football.

When I moved away - in the pre-Internet days - he'd ring me when we scored (listening on local radio).

i remember us playing Crewe in a league cup game in the mid 80's, where after a flurry of goals he said this is getting too expensive, I'll call you at the end.

i think we won 7-2 and Cyrille got 5 (?).
