No I'm older and I agree. I'd only go to a cup game in the latter stages or decent opposition.

Nothing wrong in going to the latter stages of the league campaign or play off semi or final then glad that's cleared up

Well yes there is as the more purchases for league games and especially season tickets enhances the squad through additional revenue.

Right so you can pick and choose your games but nobody else can again glad you've confirmed it.

No people can do what they want but fans who do not attend league games have no real right to complain about lack of funding when they are the problem

Got a feeling we won't win Saturday

I think a draw and a replay back at Sixfields on TV.

Could also break a record here. 1st team to go out on penalties in 3 different cup competitions in a season?

We may have a new centre half by Saturday. Then Rickets can move to right back and rest Philips
i woukd give Burge a game. RCC has done very well but a bit cocky for me last night. Do him good to be rested and give Burge a lift

In that scenario I would much rather rest Ricketts. We cannot afford for him to miss many league games now Reda is done for the season.

Burge is a poor goalkeeper - no thanks.

I'd give Ciaran Harries a run out - he (and TM) will learn a lot more playing in a game like this than U21s

The FA have given the Cobblers a plum draw in order to help out, just like they did for us with those matches at White Hart Lane and the Arse. That is the way 'family football' helps its own - so no I wouldn't help the bastards as imo their 'help' took our club out of Cov.

Everyone should be rested that needs a rest (Cole and RCC definitely). After that, pick the strongest team possible. I think we will win, I just hope we don't pick up any injuries.

I agree RCC is better goalkeeper and hopefully will sign new contract. Did you think he was a little "cock sure" on Tuesday night and I cannot remember him making a save. Don't think he could do much with their goals but he is a young lad who has played 8 games in 4 weeks. I would rest him. It might also focus him on not getting ahead of himself.

Why rest Cole? He needs games to build his fitness up and in all likelihood will be gone in 3 games time.

And why would a keeper who's played about 6 games need a rest?

He made a good save where he dived back and scooped the ball, but too cocky

Ideally you rest those players who are essential to our league performance and/or there replacements are non existent, not ready, or good enough, for L1 i.e. you rest the higher risk players.

With that in mind, I would rest:

Ricketts - key performer, played every game so far on ever aging legs AND at present there is no ready made cover.
Stokes - see above, minus the age comment.
Fleck - playing well and only one proven (ish) replacement CM, however it's unlikey now RV is suspended.
AA - speaks for himself, but again we know he won't be getting a rest, even if he isn't playing for us.

Based on Tuesday's performance, I would not rest RCC. I feel his confidence may have taken a knock after Tuesday, so let him regain it, in a match that is not as important as the league.

So I would line up:

RCC
Phillips Martin Harries Haynes
Fleck Thomas
Murphy Cole/Lameries JOB
Fortune

The defence is very worrying, especially the left hand side, but I still wouldn't risk Stokes or Ricketts. Let's hope we have another CB available by then.

If we don't, then we play Brazilian style; don't worry about conceding, just constant attack, in the hope we score more than we inevitably concede.

He also made some good blocks on Saturday when Peterborough were 2 up. If they got 3 we would not have pulled it back.

Why didn't they just make the 1st round of the cup free for ST holders? That's what Sheffield United have done. Or make it £10 for ST holders

Sheff U season tickets cost a lot more than ours, so you could argue they've already paid for their cup tickets.

Wonder how they go about getting away with not giving the other club and theFA their cut?

Does anybody know if it's still £15 on the gate, or does it go up ?
