Oh Dear David - What have you done? 3 games at Ipswich Come on as a sub for half hour in one game and taken off after an hour in the other 2!
2 shots on target in 3 games and completely going un-noticed by everyone.
Hes still top of the League 1 scoring charts as a Cov player - money aside - bet he wishes he was still at the Ricoh.
Area Final to come & maybe the play-offs and poor old Ipswich are heading in the opposite direction!
See - Mifsud - Westwood plus a long line of others who thought the grass was greener!

Yes BUT as I said "Money Aside" - I bet he wishes he was still banging them in at the Ricoh.

He isn't getting any more money being at Ipswich than he was being with us ffs. He'll be being paid exactly the wage that he agreed when he joined Forest.

Come the summer then that'll change, but till then he's earning no more being a tractor boy than he was with us.

I expect he is very happy that Cov won today and hey we may see him in the future again. It does not help when you post in my opinion a silly post saying you should not have left

He had no choice me old mate.

Like I say best of luck to him, I am not stalking him as its a waste of your life to dwell, MOVE ON !

My friend's an Ipswich fan and he said McGoldrick played well today, despite some poor service today. He did get an assist for Ipswich's 1st today as well.

Actually, money considerations aside, McG came accross to me as a footballer and as somone who was loving playing and loving scoring, and he did us proud in his time here.
I actually think that, from a footballing perspective, he might well be regretting making the move. He might well be thinking that he will never again hit goalscoring form as he did with us, and for a striker, that is not a good thought to have. He may well be thinking he has made a bad choice.
On the other hand, he might be thinking none of this. We'll never know unless somone asks him and he gives and honest answer.
My personal opinion? He made the wrong choice and will end up regretting it.

He never had a choice he was a notts forest employee on loan to us

last laugh ?

We are in 7th in League one, with all teams around us having a few games in hand.

He is in the championship, due to earn shed loads more next year and will be playing in a stadium where they pay 100k a year rent ;)

i will always wish DM the best of luck, he was only on loan to us, but battled for us with some passion. I believe clarke will do a good job for us and become a firm favourite with the fans.

I am sure he would have stayed here if our clubs could have reached agreement. The fact that he went back to forest, for a couple of days before Ipswich came and got him, on loan, would indicate that

A ) forest did not want to keep him
B ) Ipswich have not bought him, so must have contributed significantly to his current wage deal with Forest
C ) we did not offer as much as Ipswich, if we offered anything at all

Additionally, if you take into consideration the fact that we have signed the other key players eg Bailey, Moussa, Adams , it suggests that the club has cut it's cloth accordingly....and MR may have been asked which way do you want to play it? The other players plus Clarke, or DMG?

Bit of a no-brainer if that was the case, perhaps?

so, why did he not sign for Ipswich on a transfer....perhaps he does have half an eye on coming back here if we get promoted and can afford him, within FFP rules....?
