Cov and Warwick and Midlands news reported yesterday that the official bid had gone in, I doubt they would report this because Hoffman said the bid might go in after Saturday's game.

They clearly do not want to do business with GH's consortium ...... does this mean .....

they are confident of having the funds to last the season?

and does it mean they have alternatives to GH & co that we know nothing of as yet?

I know KD and PC dont come across well but there are others there that clearly have expertise in this, would they operate in this manner without other plans ?

That is the impression I get - the tone of Dulieu at the weekend was insulting and patronising towards Hoffman but at the time I put it down to his natural arrogance as an ex-copper but I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that they simply don't want to do business with him. It goes back to this insistence that the club is not for sale and what they want is new investors. I have no faith that they have any new investors and are just clinging on in the forlorn hope that someone will suddenly appear with millions to waste on investing in a dying business. It bodes very badly for the club and us the supporters as I see some very dark days ahead.

What if the club and SISU genuinely haven't received it? Or will we just refuse to believe it as many of us have our head so firmly up Gary Hoffman's arse?

True Sterling, the club may not have recieved it, but they may also have recieved it and are playing games, and trying to discredit Hoffman.

I say that without having my head up Hoffmans arse, having formed my own opinion on this sad panto.

Whatever happens, I think many have an extremely neagtive impression of our Chairman Mr Dulieu, both through this and through his surly and obnoxious attitude in interviews, his constant spin, and his complete and utter lack of regard to the club. He wont care but we do.

Down here the Saints fans don't rate KD very highly at all and while they will admit he didn't cause a lot of their issues the general feeling is he made things a lot worse, made it difficult for the right people to come in and filled the boardroom while they were short on players. All sounds very familier!

Surely if SISU had a viable plan the best thing would be to put everyone's mind at rest and let us know about it! Even if it meant no more players coming in so long as there seemed to be a long term plan to get out of this mess I'm sure many people would give them a break but everything that comes out of the club seems to be different to what everyone else involved says! KD even managed to contractict himself on more than one occasion when he was on CWR.

Makes it very difficult to belive there is a plan and they aren't just hanging on hoping someone is going to cover all the money they've put in.

I'll be brutally honest. I'm bored of the whole saga now. A vicious circle of rumour, lies and speculation ultimately ending up with nothing but disappointment for Cov fans.

I'm going to just let them get on with it all and support the team on the pitch as I'm fed up of wading through the stories where nothing has actually happened.

It has to be said that the telegraph report has misled here - again.

If we were all paying attention to what was said on the two radio interviews then the conclusion is a slightly different one.
Too many are hearing things that have not been said.

Hoffman made clear he would be talking to his team and fully expected a formal offer will be sent by letter to the board of the club sometime early in the week and may even be as early as Monday but certainly early in the week.
He refused to discuss the parameters of the offer and rightly so.

Delieu in his interview merely hinted while under pressure that there was reason to believe there were other fingers in the pie as far as options for investment were concerned and seemed slightly dismissive of Hoffman's 'offer' Under pressure from the interviewer he seemed to back track on this when asked who were is other investors they had talked to kind of implying there were really mere early contacts only.

So Hoffman would seem to have the early lead in the process and lets hope he makes his offer a substantial one because from what I read into it SISU will not budge from their current stance.
I will add that Hoffman must have enough funding in place to take the club forward and not merely as a temporary solution so my guess is that 30m will not be anywhere near enough to do this unless SISU are willing to write off so much of the debt. Isn't that what SISU did to Richardson?

Not that I'm claiming to know anything here, but through my line of work I know that there was a big balls up at the South Midlands sorting office overnight which resulted in a lot of post going to the wrong delivery offices.

Probably SISU employees breaking into the South Midlands sorting office and mixing all the letters up I reckon.

In fact I reckon it was Ken himself and I bet he stole all the fivers out of the birthday cards!

Lets get a grip here ,or are we just on an excersise in being crass. Its obvious SISU have lost the majority of fans ,they're going to spin this to their advantage .The bid would have been delivered by registered mail and signed for.IMO
