Next years season tickets (6 Viewers)

Having a chat with a few people where we were trying to guess how much the season tickets will be if we get promoted.

I have the premier league package, so if we are successful in promotion myself and another 4999 fans should get a free one.

does this mean DK will increase the prices a lot to cover the 5000 loss in ST?

my mate doesn’t have one and wondered if anyone has used that V12 finance for paying off each month, does that work okay?

I did not get the PL package so unfortunately expecting a substantial rise if we were to get promoted

Used V12 before in the past and it works fine, think this months was the final payment (the first was in July)

Im actually of the opinion that doug will be quite generous as to reward fans for their 25 year wait to return and will only put prices up a couple hundred at most .

Please

Doug 😂

Boro's prices are only 10% ish higher.

£500 x 20k = £10m
£750 x 20k = £15m

Don't really think it's worth the big rises, in the grand scheme of things.

If we do get promoted I think approx. £650 for an Adult. The away end will have to be restructured again as we have to give a minimum of 3000 in the Premier League if ground holds over 30000, if under 30000 its 10% of the capacity , So Block 9 will be out of bounds for season tickets.

I presume he will whack up the prices for everyone who couldn't afford £500 a ticket in the first place, making it even more unaffordable.

He's greedy and doubt he will think of the cost for the average fan.

V12 finance is shit, just whack it on an interest free card. That's what I do. I did that this year and have another year or so of the no interest offer so will do it this coming season too. Then get another card for the following season.

Tbh I am an impulsive spender, I do not really want to be getting involved with credit cards

I get that, but this is the finance arrangement for the season before last for V12. First payment of nearly £200 and £100 a month at 38.5% APR. Fuck that.

The rate and fees on the V12 are really poor. If that's your only option then fine, but you can save yourself a few quid via other options

Mine was a first payment of £90 in July then £50 or so from Aug to Feb, V12 has worked for me and my situation tbh so I cannot knock it personally - Luckily I had a nice tax rebate in 2024 as my employer had cocked up my first few months pay on the wrong tax code, so that paid last season on it's own but I had to do it this year, as I said I do not really want a credit card in my name, I wouldn't trust myself if I am honest I would end up booking a holiday or something  As a 26yr old with no history of borrowing, I do not know if I would even be approved anyway

The prices will inevitably increase anyway if we get promoted. Teams in the Premier League put more money on their season ticket prices due to the cap on away ticket prices (£30). I'd imagine we'll fall in line with some of the lower end Premier League teams.

Yes, their early bird is already out with no increase from this year's pricing regardless of division they end up in. They expect this to change once the EB has passed.

There is also a price cap on away fans £30 max and applies to all teams.

One thing that I hope Doug considers is the cost per match as the Premier league has less games so the price per match, even based on this seasons prices, would go up for everyone!

I reckon it will be £570 as it's less games and we need to ensure it's full. That would be £30 a game. For those of you saying £750, that's £10 a season less than £40 a ticket for season tickets, how much will match tickets be? We've got something good going, keep it full. If match tickets are over £50 each, which they'd have to be to justify my £40 a ticket season tickets, we'll have empty spaces bar the big games and I'd hate the home end with United or Liverpool fans in.

Not only will we be getting £100m+ but the season ticket revenue isnt a big proportion and we need to keep fans on board for a likely relegation, not onky keeping them positive when we dont win many, but to return for the Championship in 27/28.

I'm basing £700 on what other clubs seem to charge (roughly).
Also, people talk as though clubs are flippant about single figure millions because they've got the TV money, but I'm not sure that's true.

Like any business, they'll be people employed to watch the pennies and wring as much cash out of the customers as they can.

That's true, but customers rather than fans remember. I'm sure like me, you'll be an idiot to return however badly treated. Not everyone is the same. You can shear a sheep many times, but skin it only once and if we're taking a longer term view, then they need to be sensible.

Please please people. Can we hopefully have this chat in April time when we know exactly where we stand? We are getting too ahead of ourselves. Let’s just enjoy game by game and keep winning 👍🏼

Maybe people are trying to gauge the increase so they can start preparing their finances accordingly if we do manage to get promoted?

Also dont forget its only 19 home games.

Compared to 23 home games now.

So i cant see any justification of anything but a modest price increase.

Dont forgwt hes gonna hammer the shit out of Cat A and Cat A plus games which will be premium.

The 23k season tickets will sell out in a flash.

There will be a cap on season tickets anyway. With 1000 extra away seats, at a lower price, and 4000 free season tickets he will undoubtably increase matchday prices and the remaining season ticket prices by a fair bit to cover this.
