Many on here talking about players of the season and stuff which got me thinking about what will happen when we are promoted?
To gain perspective the issue for me is who we lose, and who may not be up to 'stepping up'?
Of those I would say: Kelly, Shipley, Westbrooke, Bakayoko, Mason and Mc.Fazdean (age and pace his enemy).
There are other squad members the likes of Jobello, Kasteneer, Brown etc that will be moved on, the squad will shrink in return for a bit more quality.
We will lose Walsh, O'Hare and McCallum. We may try and secure Walsh as our first new signing. The biggest shout will be Jodi Jones who has barely touched a ball in this league. If he does not get back in the side before season end I fear he will be moved on. By all accounts he has not set the world alight in the U23's.
Those good enough are Dabo, Morosi, Godden, Rose, Hyam, Allen, and I believe Giles (who I think will come into the side over the next few weeks) Hopefully you can add in Walsh.
So where does that leave us? Pray Villa stay up, and we can keep O'Hare

........................Morosi...........
Dabo,......????.....Rose......Hyam......????
........Giles......Allen.......Walsh.......????
.......................Godden......(O'Hare?)

Food for thought. Agree or disagree?

Nobody can guess who's good enough and who is not, only time will tell when very few have played in this league, also if we've just signed a player we ain't gonna let them go, jobello hasn't even played 20 games for us. Very little of what you've said is true, or I agree with

We've gone from 'taxi for Robins' to 'who is good enough for the Championship now we're nailed on L1 Champions' in less than 2 months. The wonders of following the City.

In terms of evolving the team, as others have pointed out this is a key strength of Robins. His track record year over year in improving the team is very impressive - combined with a top class scouting set up. The pre-planning on recruitment is meticulous - the same couldn't be said of some previous managers to be honest.

That's not to say that Robins has a 100% hit ratio in recruitment - no manager every has - but most of the signings/loanees have been very impressive (without spending a fortune either).

What we should be doing right now is getting behind the lads on the pitch in the next 10 games rather than speculation on who is not good enough - just my view. This team and every player wearing the shirt deserves that respect for this amazing season.

The whole point TTG is to play manager should we go up. Every manager faces the same difficult decisions each summer. Tough decisions will have to be made on players about whether they are good enough to remain or be replaced for a higher division. It's definately not a case of time will tell. You may disagree with me but to say its not true is silly, its a mere projection of probabilities from me. Why not join in debate and putyour opinion over on which players may stay and which ones go?
