I don’t buy into this “get it wrong and we’ll be Barnsley”. We can get it wrong, doesn’t mean we’ll be in the 3 worst teams there is.

hes sub standard and o hare has been overworked - we could put Jamie two year deal and shite Allen there - Robins could occasionally have used Jones but in his intimate wisdom decided he’s rubbish
Well no one around where I sit rate Jones I'm the only one who has his back.
Then again I love the confrontation.

You must admit that would be a major disappointment.
It must be so depressing to feel like this. It's been an enjoyable and entertaining season. Best football we have played for over 20 years and just not quite good enough for the play offs. I didn't expect us to be anywhere near this level at the start of the season. I don't care where exactly we end up in the table as it makes no difference now. What's important now is how we are next season.

Reading Grendels posts makes me want to punch every screen that’s ever existed. Deluded doesn’t even come close.

Ok Perry you attend about what 2 games a season. How am I deluded?

You mocked me for saying O'Hare needed a rest and now you are saying he has been over-worked. I agree with you that Jones should have had more game time, but not sure if you have ever played the game if you think Jamie Allen is 'shite'.

Steve shall we really bring up “the file” and what you said about Max Biamou? Where is he now?

You are always bringing up 'the file'. As for Biamou he has had a season riddled with injury at Dundee Utd so can't really play if you are injured.

You wanted to keep him

Odd comparison when they're completely different types of player playing completely different positions.
Ones a striker ones an attacking midfielder ? Ohare played more games also any numbers for it ?

No idea what point you're trying to make but O'Hare has almost double the amount of goal contributions, not that it's in any way relevant. He also pisses all over him for chances created etc.

Who shall we compare next?
Simon Moore vs Matty James perhaps?

I would say that we don’t need a bigger squad but we need a better one.

If Robins feels that Wilson is his number one then we need to be keeper hunting again as he isn’t good enough.

I think we need at least two centre backs and the rest depends on who moves on.

I might be wrong but I guess it was a case of Wilsons hardly played all year, he came in and kept a clean sheet last week and saved a pen, so Robins has probably said to Moore we’ll give him another go today. Moore will probably be back next week but even if not I’d expect him to be No 1 next year

I think we have to accept at least one of O'Hare, Hamer and Gyok will leave. I don't think we'd see that as a problem if Robins get the funds to reinvest in the team

I'm not sure of individual values but I would want at least £15m if all three left and I would want Robins to get 50% on new players

It's not just buying players, we have to accept we need to pay championship wages otherwise why would they come here

We need another CB, LWB, AM and ST as a minimum and that's not considering the three above leave.

I think we are in for a tough season next year

I think you all have Sky Blue tints on. You fail to see from the other side of the fence. We have some very good players and are a good side, perhaps just short of a couple of strong additions. We have played pelnty of teams off the park this season, including Fulham (Twice). Godden has been missing half the season and if he were in those games we certainly would be in the playoffs. Get some perspective. I remember Huddersfiled were playing through covid while we had to pause and the team lost some momentum.
No we are a good side who play some of the best football in this league. Let's see what Robin's comes up with for next season. I sense we will be challenging again in the push for top 6.

This is curious for last season's athlete of the year.

We ended last season with a lot of positive momentum. This one is ending on a whimper.

At least ticket sales have been phenomenal and perhaps it grants MR a bit more scope.

I picked up on this point on the match day thread earlier. However my crap phone died along with my message!

We finished well last season and carried momentum onto this season. I’m concerned about this season. Can’t afford another away day where we compete for 20 mins before folding. It will have an impact on next season.

I know that plenty of other factors will affect next season as well, particularly recruitment. However it’s naive to say these are “nothing games”. We need something from Stoke to get some positivity and momentum.

One other point…….
Grendel can be a wind-up merchant who tries to incite a reaction from others.
However, when living through the match-thread earlier today- I think he was very harshly treated.
He was consistently lambasted for being pro-COH. I know he can invite criticism (Grendel), but many of the comments were OTT.
Grendel is a clear fan of COH. I am as well, along with many others. I think we’d be a much worse team without him. Every mistake COH makes was an excuse to “have a go” at Grendel.

Criticise him for other comments, but anything relate to COH is a little harsh.

NB: yes COH’s finishing needs drastic improvement!

He hasn’t been injured all season.
People have assumed we’ve not been picking him but he’s been plagued with injuries since coming here,” said Courts.

“Max has been desperate to get back and play a part but he’s had a recurrence of what happened before.

“It’s a shame because we were hoping he’d make an impact here. It’s unfortunate that his season is over.”

Robins himself said momentum now means nothing for next season

Yeah, I agree with MR.
Huddersfield won 1 of their last 10 last season, including getting a couple of absolute pastings (5-2 & 7-0). Hasn't affected them this season.
