The telegraph are quoting from the published accounts Directors Report

I think you have to bear in mind who else is reading the directors report and auditors report. In the next couple of months the club has to convince the EFL they are at least trying to get back and have to let the EFL know where they are playing next season

interestingly no mention in the Otium or SBS&L accounts of a new stadium or progress on that

Match receipts in accounts £2,545,705 (includes cup games though)
Average league attendance 12363

Roughly £8.95 per person and that is already net of VAT or tax. The accounts show all figures net of VAT

Didn’t realise it was net and the cup games have little impact and I suppose the freebie game understated a bit

It’s already net if Vat so it’s nearer the £9 apparently - it’s not that surprising as many children go and they are virtually free

They aren't the brightest are they.

To think people like that influence the trust and they were believed over actual fans.

I am ignorant on these sort of issues but would it be possible to go and ask the E U when they are able to look at the complaint cost nothing. After all it has been a year. ( I know why I wanted out)It may not be the only obstacle I think It is more important than a lot think it is but it would be one thing out of the way.Same as last year leaving it very late.I think something needs to happen. Why oh why did we put in that complaint?

But the choice to make the complaint hasn't affected anything at all. Even if the complaint wasnt made its fairly obvious we still wouldn't be playing at the ricoh this season, that's what I ment in my tired typing

The extra income wasps would get from us playing in the championship is a game changer and so personally I fully expect us to be playing the villa at the Ricoh in the league next season

What would have stopped us playing at the Ricoh if the complaint had not been made ?Surely Wasps demand for the indemnity comes about because of that complaint?

I guess the obvious answer to that is, rightly or wrongly, they believe they have a case. I'd guess they feel wronged with what has happened over the last few years (and I appreciate at least some of it is of their own making) and want to follow it up. Whatever my personal feelings on the matter (which are obviously tainted by the fact I just want CCFC to be in Coventry), they are within their right to do so.

I would guess the problem with an EU complaint at the current time is that it may be in a state of limbo until we know what our future relationship with the EU will be. Theoretically they would probably still be within their rights to investigate the complaint but if they are going to be left with no jurisdiction or means to follow through on any findings then they may not follow it up.

Nothing we can do either way now. What's done is done. We've just got to enjoy the ride (or not, as the case may be), and where we can apply pressure as a group on Wasps & CCFC to come together and find a resolution despite whatever may be going on in the background.

True. Depends if we get a better cut or distribution of paid vs free (fewer school tickets? Fewer OAPs making it over?) but generally the point holds.

Point is it’s costing us far more than it’s costing Wasps, which is shit because they’re the ones who need to budge and right now they have a lever to pull to get us to do what they want.

If we are getting 10k home fans by the end of the season looking at 12-13k in the Championship does that change I wonder?

Still doesn’t get us a home in Cov though. Until some land is bought anything will be a stop gap.

No chance is it costing us more than the wasp, we were the major income of the Ricoh, just take the naming rights the the arena no one wants to pay for it as we are not there.

I wonder if last week's meeting with JS was just random,or is the date relevant as it's the anniversary of the complaint going in .
Supposedly there is meant to be some interim progress info at that point?

Say it’s costing us £1.5m a season, what’s it costing Wasps?

Sponsorship was £1m/season to start with and would be lower now even with us there and they won’t get nothing so that’s an absolute max of £1m/season and more likely closer to £500k. We were paying less than half a million rent IIRC. Which means you’d need another half million at least from related income to just match what we are losing. And us not being there saves them in costs and wear on the pitch (lol) and they have the ability to book the place out more often so there’s some extra income on the other side of the scale.

I know we have this dream of starving them out but if we do it’ll just be because our hedge funds stomach for losses was greater than their hedge fund.

Does nobody think SISU will be open to offers as soon as promotion is confirmed. Surely selling at the top of a cycle.

We're much more likely to be in L1 as opposed to the Prem in 2 years time so surely this is the time to sell, especially if there is no sign of them building a new stadium.

Wasps need to find a large portion of 35m to pay back bonds in a couple of years, would they sell half the stadium to a CCFC owner that wasn't SISU, if so we are a more attractive prospect to buyers.

I cannot see a quick sale by SISU being realised, as any investor will want to undertake a detailed "due diligence" process and that could take months, especially considering that the training ground has a charge against it and we don't have a ground or security of a venue to operate from.
A major issue for any investor will be the ability to generate a much greater footfall and increased income without disproportionate on costs for servicing this.
I expect us to be under the same ownership for the short to medium term with the associated challenges in resources that are available to MR in comparison to competitors.

Anyone buying the club i would think would have the means to buy into the Ricoh and I can’t see any potential new owner buying the club without some sort of major deal re. the stadium.
