As long as we perform like we did in the second half vs Leicester yesterday, all these games should be winnable. Just don't get any more silly suspensions (ala Da Silva/Thomas) and need to see out games when we're ahead and try to keep clean sheets. The 6 points dropped recently vs Preston, Charlton and Southampton from winning positions annoy me. We cannot afford to lose vs Boro for sure and am glad our games versus Millwall and Boro are at home where we need to make the home support count for a hostile atmosphere for opposing teams. Norwich away will be tricky.
They're 13th, almost bang on midtable, how are they one of the worst?
And they have some very high quality players. Fatawu, James, Mavididi, Pereira all quality. They're very jekyll and hyde because they rely on those players having good games.
Norwich look as if they've given up on Sargent after he refused to play last weekend!! He wasn't even picked in their squad yesterday, so looks like we wont be facing him next week.
I would love it if our next 6 were the April fixtures instead of what they are - we could be almost out of sight then. Get the feeling its going to be really tight and we will then need to win those games against "lesser" teams when the pressure will be really on us. Having said that Portsmouth and Blackburn could be in a desperate relegation scrap by then
Maybe my past experiences there are blinkering my view a bit but I just cannot see us going to Carrow Rd and winning, a fixture I never feel confident for
Middlesbrough and Millwall are cup finals
win those 2 and lose the other 4 and we are still on 61 points from 33
If we exclude ipswich and take into account the other teams they can only get a maximum
Middlesbrough 64 if win their other 5 (2 ppg = 59)
Millwall 61 if win their other 5 (2 ppg = 56)
Hull 65 if win their 7 to catch up on games (2 ppg = 58)
i really think we can extend the lead over this period
I also think if we are still ahead going into March we will do it - (our fixtures are quite kind after that) -
