I realise that but there are people saying what is the issue if he's guaranteed his full wage anyway. That isn't necessarily the case.
We could still have agreed a wage contribution with Rangers and then have issues with things like goal bonuses if he has that in his contract.
Could he be haggling over the potential contract with us, should we decide to sign him in the summer. Would those discussions take place yet?

I suspect sadly that in the background his agent was touting him around to the highest bidder - seems to me that is the way of modern football. I say sadly not in this specific case but more re football agents in general
