New Shirt(s) 2020-21 (2 Viewers)

Any news on release dates, design, etc? Presumably based on the price we will keep the Two-Tone kit as the 3rd shirt for at least part of the season.

I've noticed old shirts on eBay are going up in price (those still in work but nothing to spend money having spare cash) so the club probably want to get the new shirt out ASAP.

Think it's normally early July?

Guess it depends on Corona and how much of an impact it has with production / logistics.

Also dependent on how it will be marketed. If the players are still on furlough then none of them can be used in a ‘kit launch’ even as a photo on the website.

Maybe we could have some kind of buy, swap, sell thread on here. For people looking to get rid of ccfc items to other fans.

So many eBay shirts just end up on shirt sites for silly money.

Two different shades of sky blue on the 2 tone kit would look amazing and totally unique IMO. Very pale baby blue and strong real sky blue.

If anyone has any of the following in Small or Medium:
  • 1987-88
  • 1988-89
  • 1993-94
  • 1998-99
They are the only homes I'm missing from 87 onwards.

I'm also after the Third Yellow (2003?) and White (2010?)

Please PM if you are interested in selling.

Thanks
Alex

The Hummel kits and training wear have been brilliant, hats off to whoever brokered/signed that deal on both sides - a far cry from the template Nike stuff
Hopefully we will still have a retro design, I think a chocolate brown away would sell loads in the era of retro kits making a comeback

I've seen these. Probably 0% chance of them being anything like the actual but thought I'd share!

Sending new shirts to fans who are key workers and getting a montage of pictures with them wearing them would be a lovely marketing campaign.

Yeah and they can cash in some applause to buy one for a friend. No offence and not personal, just a general statement but I wish people would stop suggesting companies give stuff away because it looks good or makes a good marketing campaign...businesses aren't charities and secondly, it won't make a good marketing campaign. It's been done (perhaps not exactly) and will continue to be done badly for several more months.

Agreed. The one they did a few years ago was a bit of a misfire. Nice idea but didn't really work for me.

I think that 2009 shirt didn't sell well because the puma pattern kits were rank and for some reason they gave it sky-blue trim rather than white. It was a real mess.

Can't see how they can go anywhere close to the admiral eggtimer design without infringing copyright

I think if done correctly, with an updated twist on a retro look It could sell really well

It was limited edition. Only 1500 made IIRC.

I think they're a bit uninspiring. It's good to have the nod back to history but as a standalone kit it is a bit bland.

This year managed to be a retro throwback while also being completely its own design and iconic on its own.
