Just received this press release from the EFL:
Coventry City will wear a one-off strip for the upcoming League Two Play-Off Final fixture against Exeter City, having exhausted their supply of existing kit for the 2017/18 season.
With this season’s kit no longer available, the Club will wear an alternative strip in their traditional colours at Wembley on Monday 28 May.
Dave Boddy, Coventry City Chief Executive, said: “Having been unable to obtain new replacements of the existing kit, we have had to source a one-off shirt from our kit supplier for the Play-Off Final.
“The striped kit is one with much history, especially at Wembley, for the Sky Blues and we hope it will prove popular with supporters.”
Sorry! Pasted the wrong thing obviously. Thanks CovisGod for the correct picture...You off to Switzerland mate?
you have the option not to purchase. What a cash-in.
money making scheme by the club
Oh no
I didn't say it was a bad thing.you have the option not to purchase.
This will probably be next seasons kit and they’ve had to bring it forward for next week, fans who’s got this seasons home kit should be offered a discount, they were bought for the season and this is the biggest game of said season!
It makes sense from a revenue perspective but I prefer the real kit to be honest. Any chance of a kit clash as Exeter play in white stripes too?
Did wonder that, it's not too different with so much white is it?
Yep. You get to sit next to me on the train.Just wanted to check, do you have to buy this to be able to watch the match and will anything bad happen to you if you don't buy it?
