I reckon the two Hopes, Bob and No.

Seriously, given our recent history of progress, I think we need to look at someone from lower down the leagues who is able to work with (very) limited resources.

I think that is what they had in mind with Aidy!

Eddie Howe would have been good!

Does it make any difference who the new manager is? As long as it isn't any of the previous idiots such as Strachan or McAllister.

Is the "Snoz" still around?? ....or how about "Our Bobby"? (Gould, that is!). I bet even the "Chin" (Jimmy Hill) would be better than some of the tarts around today! - And cheaper!!
All City men through and through!

Bobby Gould said he'd manage coventry for free. He just wants to see us get promoted.

Is that BEFORE he'd come here though?

I am a little concerned with an 'internal' appointment, although that is the most likely to save a few pennies. They may surprise us, but i think we need to become an attractive prospect for players, who play good attacking football and look to have a bit of direction and leadership.

It would be a shame to take Tisdale from my local team, but City are more important!

I wouldn't mind Di Matteo or Hughton.

Erikkson and Savage Slam Boothroyd Sacking

Duo Criticise Aidy Dismissal on TV Show.

Leicester City manager Sven Goran Erikkson and Derby County midfielder Robbie Savage have criticised the sacking of Aidy Boothroyd as manager of Coventry City.
Speaking on the BBC Midlands Late Kick Off, both men felt that Mr Boothroyd should have been given until the end of the season and to sack him now was wrong with Savage saying the decision was 'shocking'.

I refuse to watch Late Kick Off while Robbie Savage is on it.

The whole show is Leicester / Derby / Forest.

How about Ricki Herbert (NZ and Wellington Phoenix manager)? At least until the end of the season (unless work permits are an issue). The Hyundai A League has just finished over here and he has managed to get the Wellington Phoenix into the finals series twice and also lead the NZ team to a memorable World Cup campaign. He can work with very limited resources as Football is not big over here at all and the Phoenix making the finals series is huge, plus the owner of the Phoenix has been in financial trouble so there has been no cash available. I agree that the World Cup effort came from a team with a huge amount of pride and passion (something missing with Cov) but there had to be some clever management to enable them to do so well and galvanise as well as focus it all. Played for Wolves in 82 - 86 so has some UK experience of a sort.

Seriously, what have we got to lose now?

I would like somebody like that, they would have some hidden gems they could bring with them like Sven had Bamba

We should appoint a Middle Eastern or Chinese or Indian manager as we have nothing left to lose and it might seduce a rich person into investing in us....

Or maybe we should sell the rights to appoint the manager. We could do with the cash.

Wait my phone is ringing.....the club want to know how much my ideas will cost them....

Maybe we could get a manager to change their name by deed poll to Adidas as sponsorship?

Ive figured out why our Scout has been made caretaker......While we're not signing anyone, theres no point in looking for any potential signings so may aswell find him summit else to do

Not a bad start for him though!
