Makes sense if he was 1 of the final free from last time, but would prefer Wise

Ince has gone to Blackpool today.

I guess most CCFC will be underwhelmed, but I have always liked him. He got Hull City into the Premier League ffs

Brown has been touting himself to every club across the land and even to Limerick FC.

Personally I think he would be an absolutely dreadful choice. Sacked from his last 3 jobs, no success for over 4 years and considered by many to be a bit of a joke.

Win ratio of 30%. So, less than a 1/3rd.

as long as its just till the end of the season, it could be worse i.e Mcleish, Dickov, Westley or Megson

Okay, this is from Piers Morgan, but still a few worrying facts about Tangoman.

'First we had the frogmarching of his players back out to the pitch for the half-time team talk against Manchester City. I thought it was quite funny at the time but you could argue it was the moment Hull's season went belly-up, as the players looked at their manager, ranting in full view of the crowd, and thought to themselves: 'Has the gaffer lost his marbles?'

They only won 1 in 19 games after this incident.

Soon afterwards, Brown reacted to his star player, Geovanni, complaining about being substituted by telling the world: 'I hope he fails his drugs test.'

And then came Bonkers Tuesday last week, when Brown lost the plot in the FA Cup quarter-final against Arsenal. Brown's charge sheet sounded worryingly similar to that sketch in Not The Nine O'Clock News where Constable Savage is accused of arresting foreigners for various misdemeanours including 'wearing loud clothes in a built-up area' and 'walking on the cracks in the pavement'.

Cesc Fabregas was charged with 'encroaching on the pitch at fulltime dressed in casual clothes'. And then with spitting. First AT Brian Horton, then at Brian Horton's FEET, and then somewhere NEAR Brian Horton's feet. There's no evidence it actually happened and Fabregas categorically denied it.

Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger was charged with never, ever shaking Brown's hand. Then video quickly emerged of him doing just that the last time the two clubs met.

Then there is the comment about the Italian footballer, Andrea Pirlo and Brown calling him homophobic for not wanting to play in England or elsewhere in Europe.

The guy's a loon.

One bit of success then nothing but failure.

Going to be a bit more anti-Sisu feeling if he is appointed I think.

Lets just hope that whoever the OP got their info from has got the wrong end of the stick.

Although the only person you could mistake tanned Phil Brown for is orange Ken Dulieu!

Dramatic come back perhaps?

Coventry would have a flood warning put on it as i think we'd all do a Nigel if this is true!

Surely they wouldn't decide this quickly if they'd been waiting on applications

I was depressed after MR upped and left.

If Brown came in I would be doubly depressed.

Hope this is what it sounds and is just a rumour.

Just checking his stats and comparing them to Thorn.
Thorn won 13 games out of 60! (Sorry had to mention it)

Browns record is better, but I would be dissapointed if we got him in. Not enough to stop going though as has been said above.
