Only on here so far... is that where you heard it? ;) I didn't think Hoffman had the clout to be honest but who knows.

I cannot see us escaping this time, we've rode our luck for to long, reckon its Division 2 next season, followed by Division 3 , just look at Bradford

When Hoffman was in the casino a few weeks back my dad was stood talking to him and asked him something (The actual question escapes me, was something to do with a rumour I heard) and Hoffman said to wait and see but there'd be a lot of changes :/

Oh ffs he's joined and first post simply to spout this rubbish. False optimism is just as damaging as the truth.

Not into talking shit myself mate, might be nothing in it but 2 different people telling me pretty much the same thing thought it might be worth a post

Was Hoffman clutching at straws and putting everything he owned on Black?

I've heard similar Gazza, was told yesterday that what's happening is not necesarily bad in the long term and have heard that its linked to Hoffman with new investors.

Can see him turning up with some chicken, some beers and a fishing rod we are in that much shit.....

(see what I did there ;) )

Moat would be a decent addition to the squad - great shot on him and he can hit the target

If Hoffman did sort the City Link deal through his contacts, maybe he could drum up a few businessmen he knows who will want to invest and sort the club out?

Big up the Hoff!

After his 3 years plus here-- would Ranson seriously be considering putting more of his money into this club.. its hardly on the up and about to break through is it?
No chance.

I'm really not as disheartened about things because of what I was told yesterday, we're only getting our info from the CET at the moment. I don't think it will come as any great surprise but they don't know half of what's going on at the moment. We need to sit back and let things unravel over the next week or so I think.

GPE I think its more likely that Hoffman and maybe Ranson will be acting as the front men for any potential change rather than being the people who stump up the funds.

Yeah but if we only dealt in facts and not opinions and guesses there wouldn't be much point to the forum. Speculating on half-truths is often far more entertaining than the reality.

Its not in RR's personal interests to completely walk away as he personally owns roughly 20% of the shares in Sky Blue Sports & leisure (the holding company of CCFC), so the motivation is there for him to remain and be part of any possible positive change.

Maybe his 3 years here, he has pretty much had no say in the running of things.

If his comments are correct about him disagreeing to the selling of our good players and literally wanting to build a great squad then surely if he had his way we would still have some good players like Fox, Dann and Westwood would probably have been re-signed months ago!

To be fair, i think it could possibly have some truth behind it. Would make sense i suppose. RR wanted to build things up at city, as it turned out the Devil he got in bed with didn't. Selling all the decent players and the potential! so if he can get investors that would allow him to build how he wanted, we still are an attractive club. Good ground, fan base waiting to come back, big city club. Just need money behind us and time, SISU didnt give that did they!!

Think i am gonna hold onto the thought, gives me hope!

The longer the club goes without making any statement makes me think something could be developing.

or i could be grasping at straws

Neither Ranson or Hoffman have the money to buy us. Unless it was out of admin, and even then would they have enough? All Ransons money was in prozone which he sold to SISU. I've spoke to someone who knows Mr Hoffman and in his words "there is no chance" that this could be true.

Maybe "The Hoff" wants to buy us :)

I wonder why Ranson sold ProZone to SISU, I think that does quite well.

He gave them 30% as part of their agreement to own city I believe. Not sure on the details but SISU definitely took part of the company off him, therefore reducing his personal value.

Can't they buy us? Surely it's only a matter of time before franchised clubs start. We could be known as Coventry City Link. I imagine in a few years it will be something like Ronal MacDonald's Red Devils playing at Old Trafford, so like teh all-seater stadia, lets be pioneers

anyone willing to invest millions in CCFC is either very very very rich or stupid or just a plain very very rich romantic. The figures just do not stack up, especially as even when we do well we cannot uster a decent crowd just to cover costs.

Bill Gates is giving billions away, can't one of the City boys try & pull his Daughter. Maybe she would fall for our Midlander blag? Them Yanks love an English boy? I am now offcially desperate!!!!

Hoffman said to me directly that he thought Sisu would not be here for next season. I just hope he has some rich friends.... or friends with more money than Sisu at least!
