I see on the clubs website new food and drink kiosks are opening in time for Saturday including beer on tap. Including Guiness. Nice.

Nick Eastwood mentioned there would be "a proper ale bar" that would open in time for the Fleetwood fixture, at the opening meeting organised by the Trust.

Definitely a good move.

The food sounds much impoved also, although the proof is in the tasting.

Think I'll be road testing a pulled pork batch on Saturday.

I think they're doing a SISU special as well. A pull the other one batch ;)

Why are we (as in the official site) advertising this when it doesn't benefit us? It's hardly cutting edge cuisine is it, burgers, chips, pies, pizza and beer. Never buy anything more than a cuppa at a game when it's cold but what the hell was on offer before if this is some amazing new concept?

if its gets more people to attend and buy tickets then it is beneficial

Why on earth would people decide to go to the match because the quality of food is slightly better? Have you ever heard someone say, I wasn't going to go the match this week but then I heard they were serving a new type of pie and that swung it for me.

If I want food, I'll either go to a restaurant or a supermarket. Not the Ricoh Arena kiosks.

we need to improve the quality of the experience in all aspects, so that when people attend they want to come back and this will help even if only a little

In the club the real ale bar will be open after the Fleetwood fixture.

Yes I am sure you are right. If this didn't happen I imagine next season and its JPT semi final day and there is only 4,000 there as the Nicky Eastwood Secret Recipe Balti Pie never materialised.

Sounds decent the range of food. It will be interesting seeing the prices and the availability because most kiosks have been closed this season.

no but a more reasonably priced pint of proper beer might add a few hundred and thats a start

Not sure how you could ever prove a fluctuation of a couple an extra 2-300 is down to cheaper beer.

Just browsed the Wasp's Ricoh guide..

Real ale will only be available from the current JSB section.
Bitter starting at £3.50
Draught Carlsberg £4 pint... So the high street prices are certainly not a high street in Coventry.

I will buy as much as I normally buy in there nothing, and they could put anything they want on the menu at any price and I still won't buy as I intend to give these rugby pests not a single penny of my money.

What we forget is that we can't drink it in the stand either, whereas Rugby can I think? Makes a huge difference as somebody can go down and keep getting beers through the game, we get a little bit before hand and then probably 1 at half time depending on queues.

TBF It sounds about the same fayre on offer as around 3 seasons ago ,there was draught beers Including the Dark stuff at a couple of the bars then .

something like the tin Cup /Hertford Arms but can't quite recall .

It only disappeared as everything got stripped back and we started closing stands and withholding rent etc.

At least they aren't reverting back to the 'cashless' system which you topped up by actually using cash. One of the worst ideas ever created. 'The Ricoh Arena is the world's first cashless stadium'......I wonder why.

Yes they can went to the CRFC game there and we drank in the stands.

Good job they don't do it at football, as we already have fans that throw objects at each other imagine if hey let them drink in the stands.

How dare the improvement (however minor) of the matches experience be improvement and promoted. Down with that sort of thing!
