Do you not think it's far too small and Doug should be more ambitious?

It is in the same location as the current shop so seemingly enlarging and adding new signage. The picture posted by frostie clearly shows the railway track and ‘station’ at the bottom left as would be were it the current store being refurbished

Yes! The current one is pathetic and league two level!

What else do they need permission for? It’s not a use change.

The club is being dragged up to Championship+ level at some speed.
It all points to resale at some point.
DK has basically picked up a doer-upper and then called in the decorators.

Bit weird that they’ve mocked up the anecdote if they’re just wanting to change a sign

The illustration is 100% where the anecdote is (where the old shop used to be). The glass reflection has the casino signage in. A lot of detailed effort if it is not where it will be.

Location wise, the Anecdote would be much better place imo.

If it is going to be where the Anecdote is, Doug listening to fans again, all the input about wanting to be able to shop in the store after games etc

Was better when it used to be around there. I remember one time after a game I randomly saw Mustapha Hadji and his family in there. Probably around 2009/10

Genuine question
Do we know from which direction majority of fans arrive?
I used to arrive from Casino / shop side but now from car park C. It feels like twice as many arrive from Tesco site and car parks B and C.
Could be wrong.

Another indicator to the close(r) relationship between the club and the stadium operators

Jimmy Hill statue is a glaring omission after going to the trouble of inclusion of casino reflection
I agree the plans suggest the location is where the current shop is

The location in the image render suggests it's actually in the south west corner of the stadium

When we first moved in the Anecdote was the club shop and was a decent size.

Either way, I guess this is one of the exciting plans @Sky Blue Pete was referring to re changes to the CBS.

The retail side of the club do with a revamp - Other than the kits the club shop sells a load of tat, re-make some of the Retro kits for a start, guaranteed money spinner

The renders seem to suggest that they’re taking the spot of the previous Wasps “superstore” before they went bust.

Stupid if so, means most will have to cut across the away fans (which the police now don’t allow) or walk the long way round post match

Keep it where it is

I agree, unless they’re planning on relocating the away fans to singers corner or pulling the fence down it seems a bit silly.

On a side note, if the anecdote is staying put I’d love the club to apply to redesign that to something City related. “Jimmy’s Bar” with it being behind the statue!

It’s fair to say the East Stand is where the bulk of our fans sit, if the shop moves to where the Wasps one was, most will have to walk the long way round the ground to get to it as you can’t walk past the away end nowadays due to the one way system the police now insist on

Sounds like a minor detail but if your with kids and it’s lashing it down with rain, you aren’t going to want to walk the whole way round the ground to go to the club shop

Can’t get in post match due to segregation. So if you want something you have to buy before and take in with you

It's clearly staying in the current location. The Red line is the railway.

But the artists impression of the actual shop itself is the other end of that stand next to the players entrance, with the windows above - there’s no way that part of the stadium is big enough for what is proposed - remember the shop now was converted from the old police cells.
Weird.

I wonder if actually that bit that is highlighted is purely for a new sign to replace the current sky blue (and rather cheap looking) lettering.
so two separate bits to the application - that bit and then the whole refit of the offices the other side of the away end turnstiles.

Definitely the same spot but looks like they are expanding the store front. does feel a bit hidden away around that side.
