Richard Keys just stated on the radio that a very good bid is still on the table and called for SISU to have a look at it

Interesting...

If the bid is still on the table then why did Hoffman & co say they withdrew it ? and why is it SISU need to look at it again if they have already rejected it

I dont want this done through the media - do the deal or dont. If Keys isnt part of the bid - shut up! In fact even if part of the bid - shut up just get it done or walk away

Sisu never formally rejected the last offer, it was withdrawn. Both sides were guilty of using the media before, perhaps they've realised this & decided to let it die down for a while before acting like adults.

Is there any way that negotiations (if any) can be done directly with SISU and avoid Ken Dildo? That way, there is a fighting chance of confidentiality agreements being honoured.

Falling gates?? Surely Health and Safety should investigate and ban them before someone gets trapped under a falling gate and them burned to a cinder by an inflammable flag.

i wonder if i come bring a bottle of petrol into the ricoh as long as i give then my bottle cap since only banners with SISU OUT on can catch fire..... :blue:

If we do get taken over do people think the gates will increase, if there is investment in the team ? or has it gone to far for to many fans:thinking about::thinking about::thinking about:

The only reasonably sure way to increase gates is success on the pitch.............. precious little of that since 1987!

there are lots of people i know who are skyblue fans but refuse to pay anymore money into the club whilst SISU are there! they go to more away games than home which hurts the club they love. they see it as the only way of forcing SISU out. Its a sad situation we are now in its like cutting your nose off to spite your face. I just hope that if we do get taken over the missing fans come back !!

question ..........

Had the team achieved the extra 8 points AT thinks we could have and the team winning regularly would the crowds have been significantly down? The owners would be the same the financial problems not greatly different, would we have picked up returning/new fans simply by being successful no matter who the owners were?

Yes I appreciate that might mean owners spending money but what if it didnt and we were successful would crowds return even under SISU?

ok thats 3 questions :D

i would think some fans would return but not to the same levels unless we were flying top 6 !! the problem i think is miss trust and that will never go away, has it gone to far between the fans and owners ? in my opinion yes. SISU constantly shoot themselves in the foot, now we have political people looking into the running of our club which makes off pitch issues even worse !! is there a right or wrong answer ? i do not know but telliing the truth might be a good start and not having all the spin doctors on the board would help ;)

Im sure Sisu's tactics of having fans who do turn up to the games frisked and treated like criminals is really going to encourage more fans to come back !!!!

I just want MY club to be owned and run by people that CARE. I could not care less if they have money or not, at least we might get some honesty!

Experienced this for the first time last night, the funny thing is I had a lit cigarette in my hand which I accidentally walked in with. I'm fairly certain you could have walked in with 2 tons of semtex as long as it didn't have SISU OUT written on it.

Yes the fans fickle as the majority are will return in their droves regardless of ownership IF we were suddenly far more successful on the pitch!
All this hate for certain owners is ludicrous. If we were doing well (say those extra 8 points so far) then the owners would no doubt not be seen as a problem would they? There would then be post on here saying how right SISU are to be cautious etc etc.

It's the nature of people I'm afraid.

Just enjoy the football. At least we are more entertaining under Thorn and I think we will end up having a half decent season at worst. Long way to go yet folks!

if there is, bring it on,
i am perfectly willing to accept a period of silence from potential new owners, whilst negotiations continue,
nevertheless worried that sisu would scupper it to suit their own dubious means of operation,
if a takeover succeeded i think it should be declared a pubic holiday in COVENTRY, lots of celebrations etc.,
my plea would be that sisu leave quietly, & accept that they have 'blown it' from day 1, i'm sure the british legal system will prevail,

We , thats our football club will be sold eventually and probably to the Hoffman group just a question of when and what state the club is in player wise when it is. SISU are wobbling make no mistake, income is through the floor, they can only earn money from attendances little else. So any finance burden we give them helps for example the constant threat of mass demos means the old Bill are needed, they cost a fortune and would come directly out of the SISU pot. Nothing is being spent on the team and more departures likely in January so whatever we do is not hurting the team just the SISU pocket

A mate spoke to Joe and Elliot and David shorthand (associate director) at the blackpool game. They both said that Hoffman will put in a new bid after his bank has bought some of lloyds tsb for 500million. Also they said that sisu were pissed off with the valuation of £1. Since they think the club is worth 8million is assets. Finally they said that if sisu are in charge in january expect clingan, lukas, Keogh, cranie, and the 3 kids to be sold.

Reminds me of the Glory Days of the Seventies and Eighties where a certain mentality in Cov saw Car Plant workers buying and driving Datsuns... mmm, look how that worked out. Missing Fans? Fair weather fans more like, a full house for Chelsea for the Cup and 15K in December in 5th place tells you all you need about "Missing Fans". I'd rather do without ta.

The missing fans won't come back until we reach the Premiership. Which, of course, will never happen. Too many fans have too many excuses lined up.

Note when we drew Chelsea in the FA Cup, the stadium was full. Why?

To see Coventry? Nope

Too many alleged Coventry fans only want to see Coventry play Premiership sides.
