Shocked we haven't heard 'Where we you when you were shit?'. I'm near certain will hear it against the Brummy lot.

Did actually hear that last season. I think it might have been Sunderland

Atmosphere was a bit flat after their goal, but the last 20 including extra time it was really good. Think Norwich's antics really riled everyone up

Great atmosphere yesterday and was great around the outside bars before the game (lucky with the weather) … cheap beers “great idea”

Went in the South Stand yesterday for a change and got charged £7.20 for 2 pints. Is this price a one off or is it for every home game?

Was looking around the stadium during WLADITT and was in awe of seeing how it looks nowadays, mostly packed week in week out. I remember looking out onto whole empty stands and rows to myself in the L2 days. Weve come a long way

Also, when we're on it as a crowd, I really wouldnt fancy it as a visiting player

There was a time I never thought we could get 10,000 season tickets never mind nearly 24,000 , we’ve definitely come a long way as a club and as a fan who was there in the top flight with 8 or 9 or 10 thousand crowds it makes you proud to be a city fan .

Currently third best in the division. 18th best in the whole country, which means in terms of support, we're a Premier League club

I think you’ve always had full stadium, just that years ago your fans used to attend in fancy dressbas Sky Blue Seats - so it just looked empty

Out of all the clubs who have had poor/ corrupt owners in the English leagues I can only think of Brighton that have possibly had it worse than us.

I was thinking about this on Saturday. First time I saw us play Norwich was 1992. We hardly ever broke 20k in those days. Just checked the stats and it was 16.4k. It was a top of the table premier league clash believe it or not. On Saturday we got almost double that in the championship!

Are bigger crowds in the Championship a widespread phenomenon since those days? I seem to remember City often getting 8-10,000 crowds in the early 80s when in the First Division, football's popularity ebbs and flows through the years.

Definitely. Football in this country is increasingly well supported. The average crowds so far this season dwarf those of the Championship 15 years ago.

Adamant we sucked the ball into the net on Saturday

The frustration from the stands was noticeable but we channelled it in the correct manner and it helped the team and unnerved the Norwich players for me

Forward wind a few months and I believe you will see loads more initiatives from DK making a match day far more than just turning up to watch 90mins of football! His priority will be making sure no seats are left empty. Saturday had a great atmosphere around the village and the drinks pricing attracted far more than the normal crowd we see on a match day (weather also helped). I also think there will be some packages for the balcony, as this is an area where the club has potential to fill.

Yep, it needs to be more than the 90 minutes. You can watch the same game at home but you cannot replace the atmosphere and match day experience.

Atmosphere on Saturday was fantastic, around and in the ground. Everyone seemed to be in a great mood and really up for the match; spoke to a few Norwich fans on the way in and they were all sound as fuck. Proper "this is why I love football" kind of day.

1-1 that day too I think. Baking hot day and Nuddy skipped thru their defence, put Bryan Gunn on his arse with a shimmy then rolled it into the net in front of the kop!

It is well documented that football suffered from the late 70s onwards due to terrace hooliganism. Attendances plummeted. I attended every home match during those years and on occasion it was horrific. Football was perceived as being totally uncool. It changed in more recent times and attendances have been rising for a while now across the board. Three points for a win (thanks Jimmy Hill) made games more exciting. Norwich are trying to turn back the clock.

I remember that goal so well. Was an absolute peach. It was 1-1 that day. Ian Crook scored for them. Not as one sided, not much play acting and the ref was ok
